It depend, you can take it to machine shop and have them inspect it, they can tell you if it warp or reusable. they can also redo the head, which mean replace with new valves, springs valve guides and seat the valves. from my personal experiences by the time you have invested the time and money, you probably better off getting a use motor from a junk yard for 200-400 bucks. redo the heads alone will cost you 300-350 plus gaskets and labors; ebay has them for 200 bucks. BUY A USED MOTOR and save less head ache.

I would have it replaced. Not much to do to repair if cracked.

I pour water into my radiator and at the same time I have my oil plug out and I can see the water pouring through the oil pan I believe could ya help me out with this one

If water/coolant is coming out of the oil pan drain you have major problems. Possible internal cracked engine block/cracked cylinder head or bad head gasket.Do not run the engine as this will cause the bearings/motor to seize until it is fixed

The car started running hot then loss pwer when i turned it off it wouldn't turn over like it was fighting for power.what happen?

Hi. The most likely cause is a blown head gasket. When the gasket blew water entered the pistion cylinder which fowled the plug and having water in the cylinder make it hard to turn over the engine. Pull the oil dip stick and look for a white milky residue on the stick, this would indicate water mixing with the engine oil, also look inside the radiator cap if the coolant looks foamy and oily the motor oil is leaking into the cooling system through the blown head gasket. If either of these conditions are present then the heads will have to be removed and a new gasket kit installed. The heads will also have to be sent to the machine shop for servicing.

Seems as if coolant is leaking into motor oil - signs: lifters tick as if washed down by coolant - coolant bottle empties in 2 days - oil level over full - how else besides bad head gasket could coolant...

Its the head gasket.Get it changed and have the head checked for cracks and get the head skimmed has it may have warped. All alloy heads warp when being removed so have it skimmed before replacing.

Overheating, milky oil, oil in coolant...Please help!

Well, the good news is this could be something as simple as a blown head gasket. The bad news is most likely that is not the case. You have either cracked your block, cracked the head, worn a hole in your timing chain cover that is allowing the water and oil to mix or blown your head gasket or a combination of these problems. Your choices are to pull everything apart and magna Flux the Engine block and heads or replace the motor, assuming the issue isn't a hole worn in the timing chain cover, or replacing the motor, the easiest of the solutions although not the cheapest. A decent short block should run around $600 to $1000 with shipping. It's used but has been checked and should serve you for a while. The other option is rebuilding the motor. Should you choose to rebuild the motor I recommend you get the Haynes or Chilton's repair manual on your vehicle for doing the job.

LEAKING WATER OR COOLANT IN THE ENGINE.SOUND LIKE HEAD GASKET.YOU HAVE TO FIX COOLANT LEAK OR YOU GET NO HEAT.YOUR COOLANT LEVEL HAS TO CORRECT FOR THE COOLANT FLOW STEADY FROM RADIATOR TO WATER PUMP AND HEATER CORES.

V6 engine failure

if heads were warped, then yes coolant got into the cylinder/s . so there is your water poured into engine. a bent piston rod cannot be diagnosed, it must be seen. a would run slick 50 into this engine.

Lost water, overheated, water is pouring out bottom when trying to start. engine won't start

You need to first identify and repair the source of the water leak before trying to run the motor.
It may only be a failed coolant hose.
If the motor has been severely overheated it may (among other possible heat related problems) have a warped head or blown head gasket.
To get it started, do the requisite checks for presence of fuel & spark.
When running:-
Check for water in the engine oil,
Check for engine combustion gas bubbles in the coolant resevoir - this indicates leaking head gasket.

Oil in overflow of radiator.

If you have coolant mixed in you oil you have blown a head gasket at the very least. You will have to pull the heads and replace the gasket.
