Question about Chevrolet 1500
The only way to reset the light is to have the computer or obd2 put on it and reset it. If it is on, you probably have a bad sensor or possibly a bad circuit.. You should have your engine codes read before resetting the light.

As long as the problem that caused the light to come on have been repaired, after a few key cycles it should go out. You can disconnect the battery cables and touch the ends of the cables together( warning! both cable ends must be removed from battery and not make contact during procedure)
