Question about 2003 Mitsubishi Eclipse Coupe

Fuel boiling in fuel line

Know exactly what your saying, sounds like it is coming from under reear seat right? Mine does it and the dealer tells me it is the fuel line in relation to exhaust system. He said not all of them do it but in this case the fuel in the line gets to boiling which creates air in line. What you are hearing is the air bubbles. The dealer swears there is no fix for it and it is not unsafe. If you hear of any fix please post it. Unbelievable Mitz has no fix for this problem.

You need to insulate the fuel line or move it away from the exhaust which may not be possible, try they may have a non combustible fuel line insulation you can wrap the line with or some type of heat proof shield to protect the fuel line and this is a serious problem !!!!!.

Fuel pump fuel lines

Its kind of a crime that these companys can get away with not making all fuel lines out of stanless steal but they do .So they rust out from the road salt. You don't say what you have but it sounds like an in tank pump. I find the easest way is to replace the metal lines with rubber lines . The pump it self should 3 lines comeing off it. The biggest is 3/8s and thats the main supply then a 5/16 as the fuel return line . It needs this because all of the fuel that is pumped to the injectors is not burned so it returns to the tank. The third line 1/4 or 5/16 is for the EVAP and any kind of rollover shut off system. Your best bet is go to napa tell them your problem and they will have if not everything most of what you need to switch to flexable line that will never rust again and lots of speical fittings and connecters. You can fix it for about 100 dollars in parts but you have to figure out exactly what you will need but if you go to a dealer it would be 2 to 4 thousand on most vehicles .These things are easy to get at GOOD LUCK WITH IT

We can't find the fuel pump in the 1983 celica supra

It's inside the fuel tank. See if there's an access panel in the hatch and if not the tank has to be dropped to remove it.

I can,t find my fuel filter on my Hyundai accent 2004

The fuel filter on hyundai accents is under the back seat. You have to pull up the back seat and it is right there. Make sure that you re-install it correctly and also make sure that you have newspaper or rags as you will have some gasoline leak out. It is advisable to pull the fuse for the fuel pump (under the steering column on inside of car I believe, if not it is under the hood) and once the fuse is pulled start the car and it should die immediately, this will relieve pressure on the fuel line. When I replace mine, I pull the old one out and make sure that I am holding it in my hand exactly as it came out so that I can install the new one correctly. It is also advisable to wear long yellow gloves. Make sure that everything clicks into place, and all clips are installed correctly. This should be pretty easy once you locate the filter.

Fuel Pump replacement

you have to remove the rear seats and roll back the carpet. if it is a seven seater you have to take out some ac ducts. then there are two access ports on each side of the floor. they are usually black and have four nuts holding them down you remove those and then you have access to the pump. you need some volvo special tools to remove it. volvo has recall 220 going right now and your fuel pump maybe covered under it. i would definitely talk to the dealership about it. because that would be no out of pocket cost to you

2004 GMC Yukon XL Reduced Eng power

it sounds like it could be your pcm power control module. only because there are so many different lights coming on at once. or and this may sound stupid but check under the drivers seat. there is a ontrol box there. push the connector and make sure its connected... Believe it or not.. when the seat moves it can tug on the cable. It did on mine and I lost the fuel pump and the fuel guage. I also lost traction control. I had the pump replaced and of course it worked when i drove it out of the dealer only to stop 2 days later... By chance i came accross a web page.. I cant find it now. and a guy had the same problem and it took 4 weeks for the dealer to find out it was under the seat. I check mine frequently and have not had a problem since... lucky for me the fuel pump was under warrenty.
