Question about 2003 Mitsubishi Eclipse Coupe
Know exactly what your saying, sounds like it is coming from under reear seat right? Mine does it and the dealer tells me it is the fuel line in relation to exhaust system. He said not all of them do it but in this case the fuel in the line gets to boiling which creates air in line. What you are hearing is the air bubbles. The dealer swears there is no fix for it and it is not unsafe. If you hear of any fix please post it. Unbelievable Mitz has no fix for this problem.
You need to insulate the fuel line or move it away from the exhaust which may not be possible, try jegs.com they may have a non combustible fuel line insulation you can wrap the line with or some type of heat proof shield to protect the fuel line and this is a serious problem !!!!!.
