Question about 2003 Ford Crown Victoria

Open Question

My Citroen Xsara picasso 2003 intermittently slows down even when I have my foot steady on the accelerator and then speeds up again. Sometimes I have to change gear and accelerate to get it to go again - it is happening more and more often with no warning and no particular pattern - Help!

2003 citroen xsara picasso problems with cutting out on idle ?


Are your rpms bouncing? At idle rpm should be 1000 or less.... If too low, your timing got thrown off somehow or if you have a idle control motor equipped, replacing that improves idle....

Tray to take battery cable for some hours and get them back .

What tool is used to open the head bolts on a citroen xsara picasso


Special tool like Torx key. Use the ones that can be inserted into a size 10mm bolt socket. I think it's size T50.

there are various scan cables needed to connect the scan tool to the read out (data ) plug. check that you have the correct cable for the job. Go on line for reference to data connection for your vehicle to ensure that you are connecting right.

It does this if the outside temperature is 3 degrees or lower sometimes there is also an ice warning it is to remind you to slow down and drive safely as the roads are slippery.

Resistor pack is located in the lower heater fan housing and is accessable from foot well either drivers or passangers (could be either side) plate held on by some Torque screws
