Possible coolant temp sensor defect or Maf sensor defect. Make sure fuel is getting to the fuel rail. The maf sensor can be vleaned with CRC electrical spray. It's in the intake ductin in a metal rube section. Don't brush or rub, spray wash with cleaner. no compressed air. It dries quicklt. Coolant sensor must be replaced if bad. Coolant and intake air sesors set up the cold start like a choke. The maf sensor measures intake air density and velocity and fuela as needed. Good luck, Ned

The battery cables are dirty at the battery.
Disconnect each cable and clean the cable clamps and battery posts.
The dirty stuff gets hot when you crank the engine or drive. This increases the electrical resistance and not enough juice to crank starter.

I have a 2000 GMC Sierra 4.3 liter V6 Vortec and im having troubles. here is the problem the truck will start but you can shut it off and it wont come back on it turns over and sputters and will not start....

What with that many miles on it I would check the catalytic converter and muffler to be sure they are not plugged. If one of them get plugged it puts back pressure on the engine and won't allow the fuel to enter the cyl. to start the truck. Have you check the fuel pump pressure and the fuel filter.

2003 Ford mustang v6 won't start cranks over but does not firer new battery. just died the other night fired a few time then nothing

Sounds as if it's not getting fuel. Change your fuel filter, then if nothing, it could be the fuel pump.

Won't start after battery died and recharged

Sounds like low voltage.
Get a boost from another car with a good set of cables.
Once started check voltage with booster car disconnected.
Is it around 14 volts?
If so,the truck is charging, so it may be time for a new battery.

If the voltage is at 12 or lower while running the truck is not charging.
May be time for a new alternator.

The battery should have charged enough in 1 hour to start the truck.
You may need a battery and alternator.

Truck sometimes starts and sometimes wont. i hear a clicking soun

Unbolt and clean your battery terminals if dirty or corroded, preferably replace the bolts (good auto parts stores stock them, and they take some effort to remove and replace them but it's necessary to properly clean the terminals anyway) charge, jump or replace battery ... connect battery terminals and don't over tighten ... start the truck, check charging system gauges confirm charging voltage over 12V 13.8V-14.5V and lights should be bright as normal ... if so, you may be fixed ... if not you have charging system issues, that will be the next post if needed.

2000 GMC Sierra cranks wont start

Hello, 9-10 volts is not enough to keep a modern vehicle running. Taking in consideration the age and model of this truck, it could easily be an alternator failure.
I hope this helps.
