Question about 1995 Eagle Vision

1 Answer

I was driving home and the car suddenly started slowing down. I got it to my driveway and it sputtered and stalled. It turns over, but will not start. I just had the fuel pump replaced 3 weeks ago. My brother-in-law said it is my fuel pump. It is leaking anti-freeze from under the car from the water pump.

Why does my air conditioner make my car stall?

If your A/C compressor clutch is binding or seized, - the extra load will slow down the engine as everything runs on 1 belt on this car - check your Freon level and refill or replace the clutch/compressor

I have a Chrysler 300m 2001, when i slow down to pull in my driveway or slow down at stop sign then go to take off it seems to sputter or chug alittle.

Hello and welcome to FixYa!

If that's the case, it's better to start on the spark plugs first. If the plugs are corroded, has big gaps, covered with carbon or faulty the vehicle tends to sputter. You may need to replace it for better performance.
Hope this helps and thank you for using FixYa! Have a good one!

Sometimes when I'm driving my car starts to sputter when slowing down. What's wrong?

your EGR valve seems to start failing, remove it and check for carbon build up an press the plunger inwars, if you dont get resistance from the plunger spring it is time for a new EGR.
Hope it helps

Fuel pressure intermittently drops causing sputter and die.

check for 12v constant at your fuel pump if you are not getting that replace your relay.
if you are getting 12 volts at your fuel pump the fuel pump is possible to run tuel it gets warm then shut down to a lower rpm I would then replace the fuel pump

My 1992 Nissan Maxima is sputtering upon acceleration. It has 220,000 miles on it and it seems to mainly have this problem in first gear. And mostly happens shortly after starting the car. Ive done a basic...

92 max
I own a 92 max 370 kms runs good but one day just cuts out while doing about 30 km, I pull over i can start it no problem but when I touch the pedal to accelerate the car stalls out.

It got worse to the point of sputtering on the highway , sometimes i could keep it alive by working the pedal but others would slow down and stall out.

I have changed the fuel filter and plugs seemed to make it a bit better but still stalling. I ran it in my driveway for 10 mins on idle then it stalls out

Is this the fuel pump??

1996 gmc sierra 4.3l fuel injection

It sounds like a fuel contamination problem or fuel filter/pump problem. Did the problem start after a recent fuel fill, if not, has the fuel filter been changed at any time, if so, check fuel pressure. Pressure should be 30 to 40 pounds.
Let me know.
