Question about 1989 Jeep Cherokee

Open Question

All lights except turn signals went out in 84 jeep cherokee

Everything was working fine except my dash lights (behind the instument pannel) i found that the problem was a loose wire splice. so i re-spliced the wires and got the dash lights on. after i started the jeep i had no lights at all except my turn signals (front and back work) no headlights, dash lights, hazard lights, not even my glovebox light. any ideas what i can look for??

Hi, i have a grand cherokee 5,7 from 2006. The lights in the instrument panel, and the exterior lights keep flashing when the engine in turned on. I cannot adjust the lights in the instument panel neither....

I have a similar problem - every once in a while all of my dash lights flash on like the car is trying to conk out/stall (I have a 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee) - the car has no loss of power and runs fine, just all of the dashboard lights and warnings come on like its going to stall. Happens on dry days, wet days, cold days, warm days - at least 3 times a month. trouble is, because its intermittent no one can find the problem.

1995 cherokee heating system not changing from floor to pannel

well at least you have some heat ,the problem is no doubt a vacumn controlled operating flap under /behind the dash ,now before you go pulling it all out check the vacumn pipe thats supplying the vacumn from the engine to the little connection on the firewall

Check fuse panel, under dash, as well as under hood. Owners manual should also give you map of fuses. May say"park" lights, "running lights", or something similar.

2000 XJ dash lights

From your description it would appear you have an intermittent short to ground on the dash light power circuit.
It may be as simple as wire insulation being cut on a sharp metal edge, or the supply being shorted by a loose metallic object (such as a nut or washer) in a connected assembly.
Check any external wiring for damage - such as connection to foglights etc.
There is no easy fix here -just persistence.

98 jeep grand cherokee's turn signal on the dash and the lights quit working...the hazard lights are fine.

Turn Signal Light and Hazard Lights have one separated accesory. For this component review the Page 8J-1 / Fig 2 in this document: ZJ-Secc-8J-Turn-Signals-and-Hazard-Warning-Flashes

Maybe can help you. Good luck.
