If car shuts off while driving down the road. then restarts after 10 minutes, a bad crank sensor will do this.

The car has no spark and the fuel pump wont turn on but the engine cranks and everything works fine any ideas ive checked all fuses

i have come across this problem many times, first and very important. check key for wear, if worn excessively make a new key but "DO NOT" use the old key to make new one, get key code from dealer. this may solve your problem sometimes. if not then you need to put a battery charger and turn key to "ON" position for about 20-30 minutes, this is done so that the body control module re-programs and recognizes the key cut again. the second to last procedure is to change the key cylinder and redo the reprogram procedure, sometimes the B.C.M. (body control module) is corrupt and needs replacement and re-programmed

2002 impala intermitenly wont start

I would clean the battery connecters or possibly change them. How old is the battery? sometimes when battery get old, they have enough juice to crank the motor but not enough to start it..But then again, if it doesn't crank at all sometimes, it could certainly be a bad or loose battery terminals..Start with this since its the simplest and easiest and could very well be your problem. hope this helps

2005 Yukon Denalli - Blow cold air out the drivers side

the passenger side electronic controller is sensing the passenger side temperature is cooler than it really is, which causes the controller to increase the hot water flow to warm up the passenger area...any time you replace a battery or loose your charge, the HVAC module will need to be reset...Try this...
Remove your hvac fuse for 10 sec - reinstall fuse. Start engine "DO NOT TOUCH ANYTHING FOR 3 MINUTES" Recalibration of module will accure when power is lost (fuse pulled, battery changed or died) If hvac reset did not work you have a trouble code - reset BCM There are two ways to reset your body control module Go to the GENERAL Remove BOTH battery cables (for the sake of CAUTION remove air bag fuse and wait 5 MINUTES) Hold both cables together for 1 minute - drains KAM (keep alive memory). Put everything back together Start the engine "DO NOT TOUCH ANYTHING FOR 3 MINUTES" If you have no broken parts - system not default (normal operation)

If that works it just saved you 600 dollars...dealer costs to repair.

Good Luck...please rate me a fixya.

Check all the connections to the BCM for corrosion, and spray some WD-40 on them and wiggle them. See if that changes anything. Look for loose connections or damage.

Changed body control module on 2002 MonteCarlo

Try cleaning the key and ignition switch with alcohol or electric contact cleaner. Try a different key if you have one. And GM's are known to have problems with the ignition cylinder and theft deterant system. A new ignition cylinder costs $280-$300. Sometimes you can turn the key to the run position wait ten minutes and then start it. Some people say you have to turn the cylinder to the off but not lock position before starting after waiting the ten minutes, but my sister didn't have to with her Malibu.
