Open the rear tailgate There are 2 screws that hold light housing in place.. Remove the screws then pull the housing outwards till the clip behind it springs. You then need to knock the housing sideways (outwards) to free the 2 prongs that attach housing to the car body.
Unclip the rear housing from the back of the light unit & change the bulb.

You probably have a broken or corroded wire somewhere between the steering column and the rear lights. Trace the wires from the light toward the front and check for problem areas. You may have to peel back the wire covering the tube the corrugated plastic stuff to find a bad splice. Could be a bad ground somewhere in there also.

SOURCE: how do you change the
Here are some few tips to help out. Firstly, remove the screws retaining the headlight and trim assembly. Then carefully rotate the headlight and trim assembly away from the vehicle, rotating the inboard side away from the vehicle. Remove the side marker, parking and turn signal bulbs and sockets from the headlamp and trim assembly. They can be removed by turning them. If you are replacing a lens, remove the retaining screws for the lens to be changed and remove it from the headlight door.
When removed, install the removed lens assembly. Then, install the bulbs and sockets and install the headlight and trim assembly. Make sure you check the operation of the lights.
Best of luck...

unscrew the bolts attaching the bulb cover to the mounting then open it and squeeze the bulb in order for it to be detached from where it is placed..then simply replace the bulb replacement then squeeze it to lock to its holder..then attach or place back the bulb cover and screw the bolts to finish the job..thats it..
