Fix a system monitors" not ready" reading during emmissions test

Hi Paul@ FIREFOX,
The most common cause is the engine is not upto working temp.failing this you will need to use an O.B.D 2 meter to pin point fault this will flag up a fault code it works out alot cheaper than changing parts to cure the fault hope this helps....

Failed Emmissions code poo13 and poo14

The DTC is for the cam position actuator sensor. That does not necessarily mean you need a new sensor but it may. Prices vary wildly depending on where you buy them, same with labor rates. The dealer will cost you over $100 per hour in some parts of the country, I do side work for $30 so you need to get a quote from someone localy.

Failed emmissions codes 0400-0443-0300

P0300 Random Misfire, means any cylinder at anytime.

P0400 Exhaust Gas Recirculation Flow. EGR passages are full of carbon
clean passages and misfires may go away

P0443 Evaporative Emission Purge Control Valve circuit.

now just because a code is present doesn't mean a part/sensor is bad, just where to look and to test.

How many miles do i need to drive to have the computer re-ready to accept obd codes?

200 miles is more than enough. p0420 is a cat code meaning the cat in the exhaust is not doing its job. you need to make sure there are no exhaust leaks before the downstream (last one) o2 sensor. if you can get all but 1 monitor to set without the check eng light coming on, you will pass pa emmissions.

2004 Hyundia Tiburon failed emmission test - o2 sensor and cat sensor not ready. Told to complete drive cycle. What is drive cycle for this car?

you probably have a ox sensor that is failing. it will not set the monitor untill the sensor is replaced. really only way to find this out is to drive it with the scanner graphing the ox sensors.

Computer "not ready" for emmissions testing

Your computer will re-set and be "ready" after a certain number of restarts and miles, depending upon how much you use the car it should take from a few days to a week. Surprised the tech didn't tell you that!

O2 sensor 1996 volvo fail emission test

If you have trouble codes stored in your cars computer for O2 sensors a fuse will not fix it. One or all of the O2's may need to be replaced. There are test that can be done to confirm which one.
