My honda had a similar problem, it would not start at all. I checked everything, starter, battery, and even replacing relays, nothing worked. I ended up replacing the ignition switch. this is about a 50.00 part. You will need to remove some of the dash on the driver's side, 4-5 screws on the steering column to expose the switch. there are 2 screws that are visible and one that is hard to reach on the back side, however can be taken out with a small wrench (6 MM I believe). there are two wire harnesses that will need to be removed in order to get to that last screw. then re assemble as you have taken apart. When re assembling the plastic on the steering column, be careful to make sure that you align correctly or you will get a clicking noise every time you turn the wheel. total time period to do this is about 4 hours. Good Luck!

If it's a standard, make sure there is nothing obstructing the clutch from going down all the way. Like a floor mat or something. If not, check the safety switch for the clutch. If it's automatic, make sure it's all the way in park.
If it's niether of the above, your starter may be locked up, or burnt out. Let me know if none of this helps, and i'll keep thinking.

Just because you charged the battery it doesn't mean it is any good. Modern sealed batteries fail; just as you described, fine one moment and then nothing, they go open internally.

My 2004 pontiac grand prix gt wont start when i went to turn it on this morning to go to work nothing happened it just made a clicking noice. The guy at pep boys said that the battery was good. when i try...

if you turn headlights on and turn key to start do you hear clicking? if so starter is possibly bad, lets trouble shoot your problem.suggest you check the fuses under hood in black box, make sure those are good. when you turn the key, you should hear at least a click or else the starter is not drawing current.try turning the headlights on and at same time turn the key and try to start, if lights go dim the starter is drawing current, does it click? if so then bad starter. if no noise at all,,still could be a bad starter.suggest that you remove the starter and have it checked out.also make sure the car is in park for sure before you do any of this. hope this helps!!
