Could be a loose wire but more likely you have either a diode or regulator going bad inside the unit.

Deville running rough

How old is your battery?
It might not be charging properly or the other alternator might not be charging functioning properly.
I would suggest to check the alternator to see if it works by starting the car and unplug the positive side of the battery; if the engine stops, it means the alternator is not working. If the engine continues running it could be your battery not taking the charge or something else in the electrical or fuel system.

I have a 2004 deville my battery run down over night

IF THEY CHECKED FOR A DRAW ON THE BATTERY AND THERE WAS NONE DID THEY CHECK ALTERNATOR OUTPUT? IF IT WAS IN SPECS THEN YOU MOST LIKELY HAVE A BAD BATTERY. YOU MAY WANT TO HAVE IT CHECKED AGAIN. THE DEALER IS NOT ABOVE MAKING MISTAKES

The service engine soon light came on what does that mean that s happen

Some problems are intermittent. If the engine check light is now off (except momentarily when you turn on the ignition and start) and staying off, just drive on.

My 1990 Cadillac Deville wont start or engage starter

Sounds like you blew fuse. Fix fuse and borrow a car starting switch they use at car repair shops. As long as you can turn tumbler to on ,you can start using the starting switch from repair shop..There should be a way to run a start button to start car and your off/on key should be OK

I bought a new alternator for my 1990 oldsmobile and my car was running fine. A couple of months later i was coming home from work and my car had a hard time starting so when i got home i shut the car off...

You need to check if your alternator is charging. Buy a cheap volt meter from Harbor Freight for $3.
The battery should normally have about 12.3 volts.
When you crank the starter, it should drop down to about 10 volts. Once it starts, by jumping, it should go above 12.3, and as high as 13.5 when you rev the engine. If it never goes over 12.3, the batter will never get charges, and will eventually run down. But the alternator should have an automatic 12 month warranty. Take it back to them. And yes, running the windshield wipers will draw more current.
