Question about BMW 318

1 Answer

The air-con display cuts in and out. The multiplug, when held to one side connects and everything functions for a while, then cuts out again. I have tried wedging it with various thicknesses of washers etc. but still no permanent fix. Any ideas please? My car is a 316 Touring Model, having an E36 Engine set up. Hope for some advice, Dennis Houghton.

Usually you can remove each wire from the plug one by one by disengaging the small lock tab on each metal wire connector.(usually you can bend it back with a small paper clip pushed in beside the connector from the like a fish-hook barb) once removed clean and re-bend each for better contact.

Left low beam lamp is intermittent. Replaced bulb. How hard to replace pigtail?

if by pigtail i assume you mean the bulb wiring then not difficult unless its wiring block connector ,lots of modern vehicles have a multiplug that connects to the headlight then from the back of of that the wires run inside the headlight unit ,and i suspect that this multiplug connection is dirty or loose in some way ,if all else fails pick up the low beam feed wire and cut it from multiplug and run it direct to the low beam connection on the back of the bulb

Opel corsa 1.4i car cuts off when idling what is problem

My Opel corsa Lite 1.4i, 2005 model cuts off when idling or stopping. I've replace the ignition coil as it was suggested but the next day the problem continued. I've replace plugs, filters, ect. When I'm approaching a place where i have to stop i see lights on dashboard coming out and the engine goes off if i stop or if i put the second gear it kicks again. Please assist as none of mechanics in my area know where to fix now.

The air con on my 2000 N16 pulsar keeps cutting out...sometimes it works fine but other times the light wont come on on the button and the air doesnt cool when this it a loose connection?

It could be a loose connection or bad section of the HVAC module, yes. If it checks out I would check the pressure in the high/low side which could be tripping the switches to cut a/c operation.

My ac wont blow out cold air, i took it to a shop and they said it was something electrical, and no leak. Does anyone know what it could be or what I can do to fix it? I checked the fuses and they seem...

When you switch on the AC when the engine is running can you hear a click from the engine and the engine tone changing? If not then the compressor is not cutting in. Two things spring to mind, first is the ambient air temperature sensor usually mounted on the front bumper or grille area, make sure it is connected ok and no broken wires, if it is connected is could still be a faulty sensor, secondly on the air con pipes (2 alluminium pipes side by side under the hood/bonnet about 1cm diameter) there is a pressure sensor, again make sure the connections on it are good and again if they are ok it could be a faulty sensor if someone has already confirmed that the AC gas level is ok with no leaks.n

Air Con cuts in and out and so does cooling fan

I have a 2008.5 Mazda 3 GS Sport and when you turn the air flow selector to windows or windows/floor, the air condition will turn on automatically. (Can't turn it off.)
