How do i open and close rear windows

Is the safty switch ingaged. Some switches are on the drivers side window and door lock control panel and sometimes its on the end of the door itself so it's not accessible from inside the car.

What is the definition of controlled variable?

In control theory, controlled variable is the variable that the controller attempts to control. Imagine a thermostat that is controlling the temperature in your room using a heater. The temperature is the controlled variable. The controller knows the target room temperature it should achieve and hold, and attempts to turn the heater ON and OFF (alternately it can regulate the power that is fed into the heater) in a manner so that the controlled variable will come and stay close to its target value regardless the heat-flow out and in of the room through walls, doors, windows, etc.

I have a vw 2003 beetle convertible, with a problem with the window. It wont drop down to open door...or go up after i close the door. It opens ok with the button otherwise?

That sounds like a door lock problem. The door lock sends a signal to the convienience control unit to activate the window so you can openthe door and raises the window when you close the door.Try another door lock.good luck.

When you open the door, the window drops a little and doesn't come back up until door closes normally, but my problem is when i open the door the window drops a little like its supposed to but instead of...

You may need to store the end position of the windows in the control unit. I would try the following, with the door closed, and the window partway open: Close the windows with the rocker switch ONCE. Then press the front half of the rocker switch again, this will store the end position in the control unit. Good luck!

I have an 07 Mustang GT. When you open the door, the window comes down about an inch. When you close the door, the window goes all the way up. Normal. Now, when I close the door the window wont go up. Why...

The window lowering and raising as you open and close the door is normal, it is designed that way to prevent damage to the weather stripping that seals the door glass to the body. The computer controls this action and is activated by the door switch. If the problem is only with the driver door then I would suspect a switch. If the problem is with both doors then I would suspect a computer glitch. Either way I would reccommend taking the vehicle back to the dealer to have it checked out and repaired. Is the car still under warranty?

I had a similar problem with a '95 Olds. Turned out that the wires between the door frame and the driver's side door had broken from the constant flexing of the door opening and closing.

Chev extend cab 2002 truck side window stuck 1/2 way down

Presumably an electric window? Stand outside truck with door open and hold the window between your palms. Gently lift the glass to a closed position while someone activates the control (with engine running). You should be able to determine if the glass is jammed (moving glass slightly backward and forward should aid movement) or if a little hellp makes the window move easily.

If the window appears jammed, it could be off the track. A repair would require removal of the door panel.

If the window appears to only require help to close, your door motor could be getting weak or some how the window track could be causing a bind.

At least you should be able to get the window closed.

good luck.
