Question about 1999 Buick Regal

2002 buick regal stalls when using turn signals. Problem will be somewhat intermittent and seems to be affected also when the cruise control button is used on the same lever. If the directionals are not used the car driver fine. If the ignition is turned on and the engine is not started, when you use the directional, you can watch as the computer in teh car "freezes" for a second and then reboots.

I had the same problem with 2004 Buick Regal. When trying to restart the engine, all the lights on the dashboard flashed of and on.
After trying many things, it turned out to be the ignitian switch.

You need a new ignition switch they are notorius for going bad and with the cruise and turn signal indicators there is an internal switch problem replace it.

The ignition, and the multifunction (turn signal) switch are not the problems. We have an 02' Regal in our shop and it has had both of those things replaced and it STILL stalls. Something to do with a short in the cornering lamps, when they're disconnected from the harness, it seems to work just fine.

If you push on and set and nothing happens, the system may not be working properly.
You can get an owners manual on Ebay.

How to replace a flasher on a 99 Buick Regal

If there is a plastic panel under your dash you should just have to unscrew it and the flasher should be right under your dash on the driver side. If your not sure what it looks like, I would buy the replacement for it and know what your looking for.

1992 Buick Regal turn signals not working. Bulbs,Flasher, and fuse are ok. Four - way flasher working, seems only pass. brake lights work. Put meter across fuse term. and voltage went on and off when signal...

Did you check for 12V at the bulb base? If not there, you have an open circuit between the flasher and the bulb base. If it is there you have a bad bulb, bad socket, or open ground.

My 1996 Buick Century has a cruise control issue

There are many components in the cruise system. That system does not work with vacuum. The first thing I would check is the multi-function switch (the turn signal, wiper, cruise switch arm). On the back side of the turn signal arm is a plug that plugs into the steering column. Make sure that it is seated, or plugged in firmly. If you have had any work done recently on the steering column like turn signal switch replacement. That plug my have been disconnected and not reconnected completely. These multi-function switches do go bad. They are easy to replace though but a new one will cost over $100. Also the wire harness in the steering column do sometimes break off. The next thing I would check is the control unit. The cruise control unit is on the drivers side of the engine compartment right by the strut tower and the brake master cylinder. It has a cable attached to it going to the throttle body. Find the wire-harness plug on the back side of it and make sure that it is seated firmly in place. Considering the age of the vehicle My first guess is the multi-function switch. I have had to replace mine twice in my '96 cutlass, but I have also had to replace the wire harness in the steering column as well. It could be the switch on the brake pedal, or the vehicle speed sensor. I hope this gets you started in the right direction.
