It is only the contact switch at the other side that is not working. Unscrew the cover at the steering wheel such that you can see and clean the horn contact switch if it is still present. Sometimes the horn
contact switch get dusty, you just clean it up, and it's OK. It it got
broken, you can replace it. Am I right, just e-mail the answer and
vote for the solution.

If the fuse is OK, check if you have power at the horn, if yes, replace the horn, if not check the switch or wire. make sure you have a good ground too.

Horn doesn't work

Check the fuses. Check the relay for the horn.Check the connections to the horns. There will be 2 horns disconnect both. Use a test light ground it to the battery and stick the probe in the wire connector for any of the horns. Have someone press the horn button. If your getting power the test light should light when the horn button is pressed. If it does? You have wither bad grounded horns or bad horns period.
If the test light doesn't light? You have a problem in the steering column remove the steering wheel and you will see in there a plastic ring with a copper or brass button that drags on another ring to power the horn button. these pieces ware out and the spring loses its tension. This is a common problem with Ford Trucks.
Good luck
Please give me good feed back of somekind for me on here.
Thanks

Horn blows when turning steering wheel

You most likely have a broken wire under your steering wheel horn push housing and it's grounding itself during rotation of steering wheel , it may also be a spring broken on the horn push assy and the columb assy may be worth a peep . Good luck

2002 explorer horn inop

In most cases this problem is caused by the rotating ribbon circuit contact under the steering wheel having a broken filament, the part is known as a clock spring contact, u will need to properly disarm the airbag and remove the steering wheel to access the part. WARNING: Failure to disarm the airbag system can result in an unexpected Airbag deployment and possible serious personnel injury disconnect the battery 30 minutes prior to start of work.

My horn stopped working and the fuse is ok i need to know were to look now

It might be the switch in the steering wheel, to find out for sure, take a piece of wire long enough to reach the horn from the battery,
hook one end to the positive terminal of battery, touch the wire connection at the horn with the other end, if it blows, the switch in the steering wheel is bad. ( be careful not to touch any metal parts with the wire, you will get sparks).

Where is the horn located on a 1998 ford explorer

The horn is usually between the radiator and grill Assembly. The fuse is in fuse panel under the dash on the drivers side. Look at the lid and it shows the fuse placement and there use.

HORN DOESNT WORK

a very common cause of this problem is the steering wheel mounted horn button looses it's connection to the horn circuit due to a defective ribbon rotating contact under the steering wheel, the special clock spring shaped ribbon wiring harness is what allows you to turn the wheel and still have a connection to all steering wheel buttons and the airbag, to check this listen for a click when u press the horn button with the engine off, it will be faint but if u listen closely u will hear it, if u don't hear it u will ned to replace the Clock-Spring rotating contact under the steering wheel. Horn on 1998 Explorer

Looking at the front of the vehicle, the horn is on the right side, top, behind the grill. (So if you open the hood, stand near the driver's fender, look to your left, in front of the radiator support, your should see the horns). Can't tell you why they don't work, could be fuses, horn switch, or the horn itself.

1998 Ford windstar horn wiring

There is something called a clock spring in the column that is used for the airbag, horn and cruise control buttons. This clock spring if messed with will cause a/bag light to come on and possibly cause a/bag failure if there is a collision. DON"T mess with the wiring in the column. Run new wires in to the horn or install an a/market horn.
