You really need a scan tool to test this. You need to know if your throttle position sensor is reacting with your throttle pedal.

If you continued to drive after over heating until it died you have destroyed the engine melting the head gasket, and burning the valves...Check the oil if its milky in color Im sorry..

My truck starts every time it just takes a couple times to start some times i have to pump the gas some times and it does start some times the first time i turn my key

sounds like your butterfly valve could be sticking you can get throttle body cleaner at pepboys auto zone and take off the tube that goes from the throttle body to the air filter and use a rag and clean the butterfly valve and the black ring around if you move it by hand it should not get stuck it should be free. there is a throttle position sensor on the other side and if it dosent move freely it will not allow the engine to function right let me know if this helps

My 93 Suzuki Swift 1.3 litre loses power on the freeway. It keeps running but I have to hold the pedal to the floor to do 55 mph. It will all of the sudden get the power back and take off. Any ideas what...

Sounds as if the engine isn't getting the amount of gas it suppose to, but again the plugs or wires may be the problem. sometimes you can't tell if the car is skipping with you traveling the freeway. I always, start by cleaning the throttle body and a quick plug change along with fuel filter. These are simple to change and rather on the cheap side, plus it's part of a well tune-up.
