Question about 2006 Infiniti FX35

Open Question

I have a 2006 FX35 and it will not start the first time.

I have a 2006 FX35 and when the car is sitting overnight or for more than 6 hours, the car will not start on the first try. It is sound like it turned over but will stall and sputter. If I turn the ignition off and then re-try the car starts up. I have had a tune up and the dealership replaced a valve in the fuel pump to keep the pressure in the fuel lines. Any suggestions on what is causing this?

The evaporative emission system is designed to prevent fuel vapors from being released into the atmosphere. The vapors are absorbed and stored by a fuel vapor (evap) charcoal cannister until certain engine conditions are met, then the vapors are purged and burned in the combustion process. I would lean toward a faulty purge solenoid based on the condition that you describe. I would also look at a faulty gas cap. The gas cap is an integral part of the evap system and will cause these kind of problems if faulty and not venting properly. Hope this helps and that you find a resolution to your problem.

My 1994 Jeep Grand Cherokee with the 5.2L is very difficult to start if it has not been run in the previous 6 hours. Replaced ignition coil but didn't solve the problem. After sitting overnight it

Low fuel pressure.
You need to check the fuel pressure on the first crank and watch it as it is running.
Requires a special gauge.
If it were just a starting problem I would say it could be a pump relay, but not if it runs rough for 5 min.
Might be a dirty filter or problem in the tank.

Hello : The park/neutral switch may be the problem. Either it is out of adjustment or it is worn on the inside, It is mounted on top of the transmission where the gear selector cable attaches to the transmission. Recommend to let a professional Technician do the task.

After sitting overnight, car takes 30 seconds of cranking to start. After this, it starts right up unless it sits for 8 or more hours. Why?

Unlikely time is a factor here, unless heat plays a role.
You probably have a Dirty Gas Filter or Bad Fuel Pump

your cold start went out it is a small injector in the middle of the manifold by the head its there just to help it start cold they go out all the time it just shoots more gas in when it starts

it may be the ignition switch itself. If it is a manual transmission it could be the clutch safty neutral switch located on the clutch pedal.
