Some parts store have a type of super glue with copper in it. I think its made by PERMATEX, tell the parts guy that you want to repair the rear defroster. they should have something there. originally they were soldered on, but you wont be able to resolder that.

Check your coolent levels, (of course) after the engine has cooled, (of course) Im sure you've already done those things... Have you checked for leaks around the the hoses and clamps? one small thing that would help take some of the heat heat off your engine is to turn off your AC and turn your heater on full blast. It's a little uncomfortable but it may help you get another mile or two down the road. Make sure your windows are rolled down, especially if you have little ones or pet in your cab. Dont forget to coast when you can. I hope you get it fixed bro, Im going through that too.

How to replace a door handle on a 2006 hyundai sonata, i either broke the handle and need to replace it or I am trying to figure out how to fix the drivers side handle

Step1: First, unscrew the 7 screws holding on the door panel
Step2: Next you carefully pry off the tweeter cover that is where the mirror is.Lift the panel up and off of the door . Undo all of the wiring connections except for the window controller.
Step3: Open the 2 black rubber view ports (Circled in Yellow) and roll the window up or down until you see the 10mm bolts that hold the window in place.
Step4: Loosen, but don’t remove these bolts. Slide the window up, and tape it up, or remove the window and set aside. Next, unplug the door lock plug and move the door panel out of the way.Unscrew the gold 10mm bolts that hold on the metal inner door panel . Also remove the Phillips screw that holds the inner door handle on
Step5: Unscrew the small bolt that holds on the lock cylinder that is behind the quarter-sized black cap on the side of the door. Be careful with that little bolt or it will fall into never land .Pull the lock cylinder out and set aside.
Step6: Now grasp the door handle, and with your free hand smack your hand holding the handle towards the back of the car. This will release the door handle.Under the door handle is a Phillips screw. Loosen this screw a few turns but don’t remove.
Step7: Now undo the 3 black star shaped screws on the door lock. You can now wiggle the inside of the door handle until it comes free. See the tabs that hold it onto the door . When you go to put it back on be sure the tabs get back in the right place.Pull the whole inner door panel and lock mechanism free by wiggling it out of where it sits.
Step8: Now you can undo the 3 cables; 1 from the outer door handle yellow mechanism, 1 from the inner door handle mechanism, and 1 from the inner door lock lever.Put on the new lock and put it all back together. Be sure to test it as you go. I had to turn the lock cable to the inner door lock lever 180 degrees because it was not unlocking properly when I put it back together the first time.
A couple of other notes, there are 2 pieces of plastic that are for the robots to use when putting the door together for the first time. one is a 3 pronged white plastic thing riveted to the inside of the metal door panel. The other is a white plastic thing covering the lock mechanism. You can cut off the fingers and throw the plastic cover away they are both useless and in the way. When you put it all back together, just go in the opposite order of disassembly. It is a little tricky to get the yellow plastic outer door handle holder into place. Be sure that the little tabs grab the metal of the door or things will not fit together properly.Be sure to test the power window after you put the window back in place. Do not overtighten the bolts on the window, it is glass…..

Driver Door Module. No power to windows

There is more than likely a broken wire in the boot inside the door on the driver's side. Just pull it back and you will be able to see if there is a broken wire, if so, just use a crimp connector and it will fix it.

I have an A4 (technically my wife does) and the windows are electronic. The rear paasenger window (on the passenger side) willcome down but I have to pull it up manually.

there is a little clip that has fallen out. so the window is not really connected to the window reglulator it is a fairly easy fix at a shop. you would need to get the window pin that is what it is called about a 2 dollar part remove the inner door trim. then the metal cover behind that also you will need to push in the black plastic rivots that can be pushed in with a phillips screw driver hit it hard to push them in. unscrew the door lacth also you will need a t-20 torx bit to release the little cap next to your door handle release the black insert that is attactched to the door handle that releases the door latch. remove door seal (the black metal cover) pull back just enough so you can see the window clip that is the white clamp looking thing its where the window is held in at insert the window clip make sure that the open parts of the clip are opposite eachother push into window hole.It will be at the bottom of the window. make sure the clip straiht up meaning the little slits are straight up and down not pointing toward the front or rear of the car. then reinstall the metal cover with a few of the bolts. firmly but not to hard push window down into the clamp portion of the window regulator till you hear a loud snap make sure the window now goes up in down with switch. then reasemble all back together. thats it good luck hope that helps.

2001 Pontiac Bonnieville rear power window

First thing you do is take the door panel off, which pops off with a little pressure. The whole door panel comes out as a one piece, but the door handle stays on. After taking out the door panel, you will see the wire harness for the switch. You unplug this and the panel will separate from the door. There is a black plastic cover on top of the door held on by glue. Take your time to pull it off so that you don't rip it. Somewhat in the middle of the door on top of the plastic cover you will see a part of the motor with 2 bolts holding it. You will have to remove these bolts and complete taking black plastic cover off. Now, try to push the window back all the way up and get1 small hose clamp the size that the channel that the glass rides on. You might have to play with the switch on the front door to help get the window all the way back up, but to do this you will have to temporarily plug back in the rear window trim panel. Once it's up, unplug it again, while holding the window up in position. Put the clamp on and tighten. After that, drill a small hole right below clamp and put a sheet metal screw in to prevent clamp from slipping. This is the only way that you will save a lot of money, because the cost to repair this window would cost you close to $500.00. Granted, the window will stay fixed in the closed position. You can now put the door back together.

1994 Buick Roadmaster won't divert heat to defroster or floor

There is a vacuum line that's plastic on the passenger side back near the firewall. Sometime they have a little black ball looking thing (vacuum canister) that the vacuum line hooks to. Look for vacuum leaks in that area. That will cause the problem you described.

Rear window defroster wont work.

First place to check is under the wide trim piece that runs over the back drivers side door and also runs to the back window. You can pull this away from the body. It just snaps in place and the seatbelt goes through it. Pull it down toward you and you should see a black box fastened to the side of the window pillar. It should have three wire connections. One is the radio antenna, one goes to the window and one comes from the wire harness. Check the two wire connections from the harness and to the window. See if they are loose or in my case the one from the harness was burnt and had melted the black box where the wire went in. I had to replace the the wire connector and the black box ($72.00) and replaced the connector terminals. The replacement connector is available but that little thing is pricey ($32.00). They must be proud of that thing.
Hope this helped.
