Removing right cv axel

The axle is held into the transmission by an internal round "circlip" snapring, to release this the first time is difficult. What you must do is pull straight out on the axle in a fast snapping motion, however you create this snapping motion is up to you and what you have on had to put over the axle shaft, it most be very fast and very hard and straight out motion, if not it will not release from the tranmssion.

Is a 1997 Dodge Intrepid 3.5 a high out put motor?

It ain't a viper , but it has quite a good amount of power.
Pulls a intrepid good if you step on it.
Have been told that the 3.5 is a bit sketchy , may throw a rod out the side of the block more often than the 3.3
