These is a good site that will tell you how to replace the motor attached to the window regulator. A refurb regulator at Oreilleys is about $79 with a lifetime guarntee (you may actually need to replace it again as it was a poor design motor to begin with!)
There are 3 screws holding the door panel on, 2 near the door handle itselff and one at the very bottom. the rest are all snaps that need to be popped loose. Then you have to remove the door latch rod, and several electrical connectors to pull the door panel off.
NOTE: if removing the regulator becreaful of the metal plate attached to both teh black regulator and white plastic spool. try to only remove the metal clips attached to the black regulater. leave the clips to the white plastic spool holder alone.

the rest of the instructions are here.. http://chryslerforum.com/forum/showthread.php?t=3326&highlight=driver+window&page=2

It should go without saying that it is IMPOSSIBLE to answer your question without knowing the YEAR, MAKE, and MODEL of your vehicle.

That being said, it sounds like you have a transmission issue.

I need the wiring schematics for driver door panel and all switches in a 2003 Chevy Tahoe. My window won't go down on that side and I'm sure I have a short somewhere because my switch works with all other...

You don't know what your getting into , The door switches have electronic control modules incorporated ,DDM- Driver door module an PDM passenger door module .
The power window system consists of the following components:
?€¢
Driver Door Module (DDM)

?€¢
Passenger Door Module (PDM)

?€¢
Body Control Module (BCM)

?€¢
RR power window switch

?€¢
Window up and window down relays in each of the rear passenger window switches

?€¢
Window lockout switch

?€¢
Reversible power window motors in each of the doors (circuit breaker protected)

?€¢
LT DOOR CB 25A (System power for left windows)

?€¢
RT DOOR CB 25A (System power for right windows)

The DDM contains four power window switches which are integral components. Closing any of the normally open, rocker type switches provides the DDM with a request for power window operation. The switches for the two front windows have three positions UP, Down and Express Down, while the switches for the rear windows have only two positions, UP and Down. Each of these switches and their positions is a direct input into the DDM. Upon receiving a request for power window operation, the DDM, transmits a Class 2 message indicating the switch and it's changed position.
The PDM contains a single power window switch that is an integral component. Closing of this normally open, rocker switch provides the PDM with a request for the front passenger power window operation. The switch for the front passenger window has two positions Up and Down. Each of these switch positions is a direct input to the PDM.
The two rear passenger doors have there own switches. Each of the switches contain a power window up and down relay. A switch activation alone can control the up and down functions of the rear windows. However the BCM, upon receiving a Class 2 message from the DDM, can control the set of relays which will activate the rear window motors.
You need a scan tool to diagnose these systems
Power Window Inoperative - Driver Door

1

Did you perform the Door Systems Diagnostic System Check?
Go to Step 2
Go to Diagnostic System Check - Door Systems

2

Operate the driver power window in the UP and DOWN directions.
Does the driver power window operate properly?
Go to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections in Wiring Systems
Go to Step 3

3

  1. Install a scan tool.
  2. Monitor the driver window status data parameter in the driver door inputs list.
Does the driver window status data parameter display an active state?
Go to Step 11
Go to Step 4

4

  1. Monitor the driver window status data parameter in the driver door module inputs list.
  2. Activate the driver power window switch in the up and down positions.
Does the driver window status data parameter change accordingly?
Go to Step 5
The data link connector (DLC) allows a scan tool to communicate with the class 2 serial data line. The serial data line is the means by which the microprocessor-controlled modules in the vehicle communicate with each other. Once the scan tool is connected to the class 2 serial data line through the DLC, the scan tool can be used to monitor each module for diagnostic purposes and to check for diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs). Class 2 serial data is transmitted on a single wire at an average of 10.4 kbps.

98 Suzuki sidekick. started to park but it will notgo into park which keeps it from starting

the park lever is stuck in drive, why not say ? this?
the car does start in drive and neutraL.
So does it start in Neutral? crank over, ??????
no car starts if it cant crank (cept my M/T cars)
my 97 is a M/T. so is my 91 and 96.
the suzuki has a operators guide telling you (glove BOX)
how to use the park lock bypass. (the lock is failing here)
the system will not crank if park or netural is not selected first. by design and logic. (fact and features)

the 2 books 95 or 98 here will be correct. under trans usage and sARTING THE CAR. DOWN LOAD IT AND KEEP IT FOR next time.

http://www.fixkick.com/index9.html

it says in a nut shell , to access the bypass cover, and flip the lever there. (on the shift console left side)
see it? there, open it ?

Every time i start my 98 buick regal ls my drivers window goes down

The only wiring schematic I could find for your car is for the 2000 Buick Regal, but I hope this helps,
since it gave me a reason why starting a car would cause the driver's power window to
go down, and no other window in the car - it has a special circuit component
(the "Express Down Module").

Its possible that the Express Down Module in the power window switch circuit has failed. This
module latches the "Express Down" switch in the "made" state until released by the "Express
Down Module." If the Express Down Module is latching the Express Down switch when it
shouldn't (at power-up) instead of when it should (at the window "down" limit), then the driver's
window would lower when the driver starts the car. The way to tell if this is the problem is to
note how fast the driver's windows goes down - if it goes down ALL THE WAY, then you know
that the "Express Down" circuit is involved (and therefore suspect the Express Down Module).
If the driver's window only lowers part of the way, then the Express Down circuit is exonerated.
See the various components of the driver's power window circuitry in the
2000 Buick Regal power window circuit schematic below.
