Heater doesn't get warm 2004 Kia Sedona. Shop

Heater doesn't get warm 2004 Kia Sedona. Shop says needs to rip open dash to take a look. Blower works fine, A/C works fine, rear heat works fine. Engine temp gauge holding normal. Should I look at thermostat, heater core, or?

Right I Really do not like Having Air conditioning within my car one reason is that engine uses extra fuel and also I find it too cold on the legs when switched on

All I would wish is for the air conditioner to be made disconnected and for the heater blowing in controlled heat. I believe that the Pipe on the Matrix has come off and am in the process of having a qualified mechanic to do the job

Your problem is most likely the heater blend door. It moves to allow air to pass over the heater core. It is a pain to get to and isn't easy to change, but worth the effort. It is behind the radio and control panel. You can change it without tearing the dash out, but you will need a short socket and an open end wrench. In previous posts I discussed this procedure but couldn't add pictures. Go to a local junkyard and find a Kia with the dash removed and it is easy to see. Good luck.

It is easiest from the passenger side with the glovebox removed.

Most likely its a blend door issue but possibly heater core

when I saw it at first I noticed water pouring out from underneath the engine and thought at first it was melt water from the air conditioner but on second glance the water was tainted with a yellow substance which could have been antifreeze that could have been oozing from out of a loose or disconnected pipe I believe that there are many types of antifreeze with their own colouring so

Kia Sedona 2004 My heater is not working in the back seats but it only works in the front. What can I do?

There is a separate button on the lower dash labeled RR HTR for the rear heater. If you do not engage the switch it will blow cold air.

How do I get the front heater to produce warm, hot heat from the blower? for 2003 kia sedona

If the heater hoses for the front heater are getting hot, it could be a blend door problem under the dash.

First I would check your radiator fluid level, sometimes being low can have this effect. Usually the rear heaters sit at a lower level and so keep working. If that is fine, then you probably have an issue with the diversion door or controller that controls the hot/cold mixture.

Could be the blower motor, resistor, fan switch, or fuse.

Heater blower motor does not work all the time kia sedona 2.9 crdi ithink its the control knob but cant find out how to remove it

you need to gently remove the wood trim around center dash, there is a screw in the bottom of the ash tray to remove, then 4 screws to remove control center, each of the side wires have a small push buton on them to release, once free there are two screws on the back of the fan control knob.
