Steering suddenly less responsive, especially at certain speeds

Loose power steering belt, Bad tensioner, or pump dieing. Electric steering? You need to have the codes read. Could be a wire, sensor, or the steering system.

I own a 2005buick lacrosse I was driving in snow and I was doing donuts (don't ask) now my steering wheel is extremely hard to turn, what could it be and is it easily fixable"

putting all the variables together( splashed up snow, high rpms, quick actions of the steering wheel requiring constant pump pressure and the sudden loss of power assist) I would suspect that the power steering belt is loose or missing or needs replacing

Adjust steering wheel play

it may be that the steering wheel nut is loose or your steering tracking is off.

Steering turns hard to left

Hopefully just out of alignment...due to "pot holes"...BUT PLEASE have professionally checked asap...Could be a tie rod worn or loose...AND could cause sudden steering loss...This is a free inspection at many shops.

Headlights suddenly go off (so far only on bright) for 30-60 seconds. Windshield wipers also won't come on sometimes until tried 5-6 times. Could these problems be related?

If all those things are controlled by a switch located on the steering colum, then yes. There might be a bad connection or loose wire inside the steering column.

Steering wheel problems

if you have fluid in the steering tank, check the belt that drives the power steering pump, it might be loose or you could have lost it.

if it is not loose, then you could have the problem in the pump itself. it looses it's compression to drive the fluid out of the pump.
