This would refer to the coolant within your engine and radiator, in short your being told your engine is running hot. This should be corrected ASAP before damage occurs to the engine.

3l diesel . hilux .pressure in radiator


bleed any air out by loosening off the highest hose ( heater hose )
run with the heater open (on) to move any air out of the heater core
normally not problem with toyota but worth the check first

it could be a head gasket or cracked head
have a compression test done to determine the problem

My 2001 Isuzu trooper 3.0td is flushing water out of the radiator and their is some pressure when I remove the radiator cap the next morning


there are up to 25+ symptoms
of engine overheat.
flushing only works on toilets.
My guess, is it's leaking coolant somewhere.
There should be no pressure next morning.

Cold water does not build pressure.
but if the vacuum breaker in the cap fails
this can cause vacuum pressure, that sounds like
air pressure. but is not. Reverse
Does engine run ok.
have full power,
no pinging
no water leaks.
if it leaks say where exactly.
locations matter,
1: steam blasting in to side, expansion tank running?
2: steam from tail pipe end.?

the top fail is bad thermostat , they live about 7 years, says the top makers.
the next is leaks,
then bad RAD CAP,
cooling fan dead? and more.
running water only not Antifreeze 50%

No it is not. Is your engine running hot according to temperature gauge? That is the coolant return which means the coolant was too hot coming out of engine and returning to rad for cooling. You obviously have a cooling system problem whether water pump, thermostat, rad, cooling fan etc. Give more details on what happens when starting from cool, and sittting idling, driving etc as far as temperature gauge reads and how hot engine gets. Be careful not to overheat engine, if you haven't already

What causes hyundai Elantra 2002 tempature gauge fluctuates between normal and hot


The thermostat "seals" the cool coolant giving up (rejecting) heat in the radiator & heater core from the hot coolant absorbing heat in the running engine "block".

When the coolant in the engine reaches a specific temperature (180 ~ 195 degrees) as determined by the value selected by manufacturer or when replaced, it opens and allows the hot coolant in the engine block to be pumped out to the radiatot & heater core for cooling and the cool coolant in the radiator / heater core is pumped into the engine block - replacing the hot coolant. The thermostat senses cool coolant in the engine block and seals shut until the temperature of the coolant in the engine block rises to 180 ~ 195 degrees again. This process continues over and over for as long as needed.

You should check to make sure that the coolant level in the reservoir / radiator is sufficient by checking when cold. Do NOT remove a radiator cap when it is hot! With the cap off, start the engine and add additional coolant as the engine warms up to normal operating temperature. If coolant levels are ok, the trouble could be related to the thermostat or possibly a faulty temperature sending switch. This means that the temperature of the coolant is fine - but the switch or sensor that converts the temperature to a voltage for the gauge on yur dashboard is the problem.

If the temperature is fluctuating up and down, you should have it fixed. Good luck!

Heater will not work, just cold air Ed


check the coolant level, if your blow motor works and your not getting heat the coolant is probably empty, the heat work when the engine gets hot and coolant starts to get hot, from there the blower, blows the excess heat into your car, low or no coolant means no heat

If your referring to your coolant temperature is running hot this could be caused by a number of things first i would check and make sure your coolant level is full and that your drivebelt is tensioned properly, after all of that checks out, check for a potential problem with your thermostat being stuck closed you could usually verify this by checking the temperature of the upper and lower radiator hoses if the bottom radiator hose is very hot but the top hadiator hose is luke warm that most likely mean the thermostat is stuck closed and is not allowing the hot coolant to escape the engine and go to the radiator if both hoses are hot the thermostat is working, next feel the upper half of the radiator and the lower half of the radiator if theres a big difference in temperature there this usually means theres a blockage inside the radiator and a flush may be needed or a radiator replacement if a flush doesnt work, if the coolant system appears to be cirrculating coolant properly there most likely is a problem with your head gasket causing the engine not to be able to maintain its temperature correctly....

That means you need to check the coolant level NOW, and also check everything over for leaks (coolant went somewhere) Do not open your system if the engine is hot. Wait till it cools off!!!

P0125 obd code


P0125 Insufficient Coolant Temperature for Closed Loop Fuel Control
This means that the engine coolant temperature (ECT) sensor indicates that the engine
has not reached the required temperature level to enter closed-loop operation within a specified amount of time after starting the engine.

A code P0125 may mean that one or more of the following has happened:
  • Insufficient warm up time
  • Low engine coolant level
  • Leaking or stuck open thermostat
  • Faulty coolant temperature sensor

The simplest thing to do is to reset the code and see if it comes back.
If the code comes back, the problem is likely going to be the result of the above causes (faulty thermostat, faulty coolant sensor, or a low coolant level).
