Question about 1994 Mitsubishi Montero
Deterime if the key rotates to the left and right first-if it does not than it's a tumbler issue-however if it does rotate-its a linkage in the panel either diconnected or blocked-not easy but from inside see if anything is around or on the locking bar-

The same thing happened to my 2001 Montero Limited just last week. My brother sprayed a lot of this liquid he uses to remove very old and rusted screws from his old cars and after about 20 minutes, it worked. You spray it on the lock and let it run down inside the door until you see it drip out. I mean, you have to spray A LOT. I can't remember the name of it but if you go to an auto supply store and ask for the spray (it's aersol can that's red, white and yellow) that's to remove old screws and bolts, I'm sure you can find it. It's stronger than WD-40. He recommended I spray the locks every so often with WD.
