Question about 1998 Honda Accord
The maintenance light staying on means that you have passed your scheduled 7500 miles w/o an oil change etc... if you have just done the service, they should have reset it for you. on your particular model, up to the first 6000 miles the light will come on for around 2 seconds when the ignition is turned on, between 6000 and 7500 miles the same will happen, except after the ignition is on, the light flashes for 10 seconds. the third is what you have, a light that will not turn of after 7500 miles without service. to reset, with the ignition off, press and hold your reset button on the instrument panel and start your vehicle and keep the button held down for 10 seconds, it should turn off. I hope this takes care of it for you, Good Luck!
