Well it cant get much easier, just unbolt them and bolt in the new ones.

Where is the location of rear shock leveler


Put rear of car on stands, look at rear axle on both sides near shock lower mount. You should see a small metal link and rod which goes up to the switch.

they are air shocks,if you dont know how,then get someone to do it,it is not easy and you will need to replace air hose too

How do I chnage the front and rear shocks in a 2001 4.0


The shocks in the rear just unbolt top and bottom, disconnect the air line and replace them.

Struts are used in the front. You'll need to remove them and then have a spring compressor to change the struts. An alignment check is recommended after the struts are replaced.

the lt autoride has self adjusting shocks, and the regular lt doesn't. if you look the autoride has airlines going to the shocks.

Actually, going back to traditional shocks and or struts is a very simple process, and alot less expensive than you might think. if you would like more information, please go here. We have been using these conversion kits for quite sometime at our shop, and have never had a comeback or a failure.

A Service Ride Control message came on my 2005 Chevy Tahoe with 28,000 miles- Dealer diagonosed it as the EBCM and charged me $750 - on the way home the message came back on - why?

I really don't understand why they would change this module if your message stated,Ride control,
The ride control on the tahoes is an airbag (air powered shocks) leveling system. If I remember right, they are only in the rear. They are meant to raise or lower the rear end to be level with the front end. To do this, it has air shocks in the back, which are controlled by a computer and a compressor probably under the hood. Now, the light could mean many things, the most common being that an airbag broke, and air is leaking out. You may be able to hear a whine of the compressor trying to keep it filled. Less common, but possible are that the compressor is dead, or a line ruptured. The most common reason that the air shocks go out, are when the vehicle is lifted (tire change or such) without the leveling system being deactivated. Hope this helps. Good luck.

The rear shocks poped through the shock tower on my 2001 sebring. What needs to be replaced?


It sounds like what you described, the shock tower mounts needs to be replaced. I believe you can buy that tower mount are the dealer and have the old one cut out and the new one welded in place. If your lucky it's just the rear strut mount it self when bad and the shocks when through the shock tower mounts which is a part of the body of the car. 97 tahoe pressure reg keeps running


Are you sure it's the fuel pump your hearing and not the self leveling shock's in the back of the tahoe if you have that option. No fuel should be pumping in to your cyls because of the injector's. Unless there bad. Good luck

2004 yukon xl denali self-leveling rear air shocks


There's a lever that connects the driver-side rear shock to the Automatic Level Control module (the air compressor and the ride-height sensor). Disconnect the lever from the shock and rotate it up and hold it. The compressor should kick in when you hold in place after a few seconds. If it doesn't kick in, make sure your fuses and relays are good. Otherwise, you may have a failed ALC module/burned out air compressor (from the shocks being shot). After you replace the shocks (and after you recouped from the heart attack you had when you shelled out $500+ for each shock), replace the ALC module/compressor (it's all one unit), and test it - it should kick on when you rotate the lever up again.

Figure about $350 for the ALC module from your dealer, and make sure the part numbers match! Your truck came with an upgraded ALC module from the 2001-2004 module, which were prone to water damage.
