Start with basics then. i presume tho this is a different year motor that it was working before you changed the transmission.

first check to see that the fuel pump is working. turn on the key to start and remove the gas cap and listen. you should hear a buzzing noise or similiar to that.

next remove a spark plug wire and hold it close to a ground and turn over the motor to see if you have spark

Check to see if you have a broken or, jumped timing chain
then; check for spark using a timing light
Lastly check the fuel rail pressure with a fuel gauge set

Stop on stop sign engine died

If the engine won't fire up, but your starter turns over, you may want to check your timing unless you have a check engine light on. If the CEL light is on, have the codes scanned.

If the engine won't turn over with the starter or it clicks, have your battery tested at autozone or advanced auto parts. Replace the battery if it is bad. Else, have your starter tested.

If the engine still won't turn over and the battery and starter are tested fine, you may have a blown fuse, bad ignition switch, or a failed relay.

If the engine fires up but randomly dies and starts back up, you either have a failed sensor, failing fuel pump, clogged fuel filter, bad plugs or wires, or a failing ECU.

2005 Charger won't start, put key in , turn the key and all I get is dash board light and radio but no turn over ! Just nothin' , no click ! Nothing !

sounds like a flat battery but it could be a wire off the starter motor solonoid even a immobilisor problem but the most obvious is a flat battery try charging it up for a day then try it before you go any further

1998 mitsubishi mirage wont start?

check if the fuel pump is working, if you have someone near the tank and someone else crank motor you should be able to hear a bzzzzzz rom the tank from the pump. if no noise is heard then hit or thump the tank, this can make a fuel pump start to work again, if it starts, then the pump is almost dead
