SOURCE: Heater/AC Fan does not work in our 1998 Buick Century

Fan will be under dash on passengers side , Removing glove box might be needed, Gm also uses a blower resister ro control fan speeds. First check your fuse and then check and make sure your getting 12 volts to the terminal at the blower, You could have a blown fuse, a bad switch, or a bad resister , if your getting voltage to blower motor then most likely it will be the motor. These are not to difficult to change. I hope this helps, please be aware I can only guess at what the problem is from my past experience.

SOURCE: remove front dash cover, 2003 cavalier & rep ac control cable

Unfortunately, you can do it, but you will have to remove your entire dash in the process.  It's not really difficult, just time consuming.  You can remove the front dash cover by opening the doors and removing the covers on each side.  They are just clips that hold them on.  Take a flat screwdriver and carefully pry them off. You will then see screws on the side that you will need to unbolt, and I believe there are 2 more screws pointed upwards that you can get to if you open your glovebox.  After those screws are removed, remove the defroster grill in the middle of your dash.  There is just one screw to remove and it unclips.  Now you can pry the entire top part of the dashboard off.  There are more clips holding it on, so just be careful when you do it. After that, you will see a bunch of screws on the top side that you can unbolt and then you will be able to remove the front cover that sits behind your steering wheel. With these pieces out of the way, you can finally unbolt the front cover where your stereo is and get at whatever your trying to get at to fix your defroster/control knob.
I had to go through all this when I installed my aftermarket stereo.
Good Luck!

SOURCE: need unlock code for 2003 buick century car radio

You will need to take the car to a dealership to have the service department unlock the radio for you. They have a special code to unlock the radio and then you are required to change the code to one that you will remember. An appointment should not be needed because this takes about 5 minutes. I do not remember the code, sorry.

You have to remove the entire front of the heater case to change thecore. This usually looks a lot easier in print than it actually IS.Theinstructions say to remove the lower part of the dash for access; usually youdon't have to remove the entire dash for this type of service, althoughsometimes it makes things easier if you loosen and remove any components notmentioned in the procedure that are in your way.
This kind of repair can be frustrating, as it involves working in tightplaces and with 1/4 drive extensions and universal sockets to get all thefasteners out, but it IS possible. Here is what I have for the factoryprocedure. I don't know of any shortcuts to make the process easier; if you can'tget it off, perhaps removing the dash completely for more room would be aviable option...

If I understand correctly, the same thing happened to me. It might just be the knob, if you can use pliers to rotate the metal piece where the knob connects then either buy a new knob or you could hot glue the old one in place. Just make sure you have it pointing in the right direction if you do.

Does this have auto temp control where you set the temp number or does it have a knob you set 1-5. I'll bet you have auto temp. and you need to replace the blower control module under the hood.

Hi,I am Ron,The car manufactures have gone over board with the new way of designing the ac/heater system. They got away from the simple vacuum operating system, and went to actuator motors to open and close ,and blend the air that keeps you comfortable. The problem with your car is in fact,a door actuator motor, that has went out.The actuator motor that you want is located behind the dash, some are reachable threw the glove box(after you remove glove box). The process of elimination is the best way to see if it is the right actuator motor giving problems. You can actually see the actuator motor turn when you select a task for the ac control to perform.Go threw and select one at a time a function for the ac to perform. When you get to the defrost, vent, and floor, look for the actuator motor that does not move. This is the one to remove. It might have three or for screws holding down. This will not be easy to get a socket or wrench on,much less turn the screw. But if you need anymore help, please ask.roniecon@gmail.com

Cruse control

Does your blower fan work on your heater/ac or your rear defrost work it could be the igniton switch were you put the key in. Turn the car on and off several times once you notice the cruise will not work and see if it starts to work if it does than it is the ignition switch this just happen to my 2003 century.
