Question about 1999 Saturn SL
I have a 1999 Saturn SL1 - The gears slip in 2nd and 4th sporadically then jam into gear, shaking the whole car. I had the transmission rebuilt because of this issue around 2 years ago and I believe the problem started at that time because of a computer issue in the transmission. It's happening the same exact way this time and it's getting worse. I would like to try and avoid any further damage but it is our only mode of transportation. Have you heard about this issue reoccurring and if so, what do you think I should do?
Thank You Very Much For Your Time
You may have a failing valve body which tends to hang up on metallic debris. Several electronic actuators are present in the valve body and their elctro-magnetism draws this metallic debris then hangs valves.replace control valve body
