Question about 2000 Nissan Frontier
Determine cylinder number 1, set timing marks to Top Dead Center compression stroke for number 1 cylinder, with all marks properly aligned, install distributor with rotor pointing to the number 1 pole on the distributor cap. leave room for timing adjustment, by slowly dropping distributor into hole & carefully making fine adjustments 1 tooth at a time
