Sounds like a head or intake gasket

Testimonial: "I checked the reservoir tank like you said,but unfortunately it was a more costly repair. The timing cover gasket had a hole in it."
I had this same problem and after replacing head gasket, still had it so i took off the resevoir and there was a small crack on the back side of it found one at the salvage yard for $12 replace and and that fixed the problem
