My ABS light stays on, Can the ABS system cause my rear wheels to heat up? (To hot to touch) 2003 ford explorer.

Remove the ABS fuse to disable the ABS system . The brakes will work as NORMAL brakes and you will now see if the rear brakes heat up. They more than likely will as the ABS would not have any effect on the brakes in normal running situations.
Suggest take the vehicle to a GOOD brake shop and get them to fix the problem

2002 FORD EXPLORER REAR TAIL LIGHTS STAY ON WHEN CTRUCK IS OFF

Probably a stuck or misaligned brake lite switch, or weak brake pedal return spring. Lift the brake pedal, if lights go off, check those two items.

How to replace rear parking brakes 2002 explorer

I would suggest that you check the autozone.com website and register the vehicle. It's free and will give you access to an online repair manual for the truck. Pretty handy! The steps for replacing the brakes should be available there. Hope this helped and best wishes.
