A locked up brake usually is from either a caliper Which I would replace anyway now and the flexible brake coming off the frame to the caliper

The starter is locked up on my 94 jimmy gmc. how do i fix it? it is a brand new starter.

sometimes just by banging it with a hammer itwhile startuing it may unlock, but usually a locked starter means that you need to shim the starter so that it turns evenly to the flywheel

94 Gmc Jimmy left turn signals work, but righr turn signal won't. I replaced bulbs front and rear but they will not flash.

If they come on when turned to the right but don't flash I would say flasher unit. I've seen it before. If they don't even come on most likely switch is culprit.

Try to replace the front diff Actuator, and you would like to check all fuses with a test lite for any burnt fuses, Check for any cracked wires as well.

2000 GMC Jimmy Transmission Whine

Does it sound like a loud winding sound coming from the front right side? I have a 2001 Jimmy and the 4wd tries to engage when driving up steep hills and going at highway speeds. The actuator vacuum switch engaged when the transfer case vacuum switch sends the vacuumed air to the actuator. What is happening is their is either a leak in the vacuum lines, a faulty actuator switch, or a faulty transfer case vacuum switch. When the jimmy has enough air pulling in, the extra vacuum is trying to push the actuator switch in when it is not supposed to. It is a much cheaper fix than a transmission. GMC should have recalled the whole 4wd system on any of the S10's, the JImmy's, and Blazers.
