It is ether a tensioner pulley our a idler pulley that assists the belt you will have to work out if it is a spring loaded set up/if it can move our if it is just stationary (this would be a idler pulley)

One of the pulley wheels came off and im not sure which one it is

Line up the belt(s) and you should get a view as to which one is missing. If it is a single belt, check what motor (water pump, alternator, tension pulley, timing, power steering). If it has a few belts, check to see what motor is missing pulley. Check pretty much the same thing as listed above. The basic and simple way to do this is no more than the proccess of eleimination.

The belt on the damper looks misplace like is going to go out of place in a BMW 325i 2006. Thanks for your help

You are talking about the serpentine belt that drives the alternator, or the one that drives the air conditioner compressor, correct?
This can be caused by a missing bushing or a loose bolt on the alternator or compressor or power steering pump. It is more likely a failing tensioner or tensioner pulley bearing. On this car, BMW sells the tensioner assemblies complete with pulleys. They don't sell just the pulleys, which are the part that usually fails first.
Unless you have unusually high miles, this car is a little 'young' for a tensioner or pulley to be worn out. Has anyone worked on the car who may have left something loose or missing?

I have a 1988 pontiac fire bird and i took it a part to rebuild it and have it all back together and lost the belt route a possibly a pulley but can't figure out what one is missin if there is one missing...

It sounds like you are missing the idler pully. I need to know what size motor you have to get you the diagram. If this car is a v belt style you manually set tension. If this is serpentine belt style sound like your missing the tensioner too.

Serp. belt broke and fluid everywhere.missing power steering resivoir and pulley

You are going to need a shop to replace the missing power steering components and the belt. Not an owner service item unless the owner has many tools and skills. On a car that old you may want to replace the belt tensioner while you are at it.

I own a 2000 grand am gt v6, and how do i change my drive belt.

you can use belt tool or 3/8 long arm ratched place your tool on tensioner (on pulley side has housing to place your tool in , tensioner between alternator and ps pump one bolt arm and plastic pulley on it stand front of the vehicle and push your tool to firewall to relase the belt tensioner and use other hand and remove belt from the alternator then easly let the tensioner go and remember place the new belt on all the pulleys and leave alternator pulley on last place) front of steering pump reservoir have label that shows the belt assembly make sure new belt in correct position on all the pulleys and push the tensioner and place to belt on correct position and make it tight. before start to vehicle fallow the all belt for make sure no missing pulley and belt is placed straight on all the pulleys no missing lines.

The arm of my belt tensioner seems to be missing a part. Where the belt touches the arm there is nothing to hold belt on. Am I missing a part? and can I buy it without buying the whole Belt tensioner?

Is the belt loose? It sounds like you're missing the pulley. Pulleys are usually available from Autozone or Napa (usually one bolt through the center to secure it to the arm).
