Follow the lines from the compressor. The high pressure side is the one gong to the condenser up near the grill for cooling. the low pressure side is coming into the compressor from the evaporator. This line will have a port for recharging. (suction)

There will be a port on the blue line near the compressor, this will be the suction line from the evaporator.

Is it on the compressor itself?

The line from the condenser is going to be suction or low after it goes through the expansion valve. Are there any valves from the condenser to the firewall?

There are two lines going through the firewall. Have you looked at both lines?

If there is no port on the suction line, you can use a 'bullet valve'. It goes around the line and as you screw it in, it pierces the line and it has a port for adding the freon.

I need to locate the low side ac port. air conditioner needs charge and i cannot locate the right port.

The easiest way to locate the low side charge port on any vehicle is to locate the A/C compressor, follow the "larger" of the two lines all the way back to the firewall. Some where along that line you will find the low side charge port.
Good luck.

Location of low side port to install freon on 2000 grand vitra AC unit 6 cylinder

mcdevito75 here, The low side port of your A/C is located on one of the shiny metal lines comeing out of the firewall, they are attached to the evaporator under the dash, from the firewall carefully follow these silver lines till you reach the charge port. The port may be covered with a brass looking cap, un srew the capp and the port looks like the valve on the tire.

Where is the low side service port on a 2003 grand am (6cyl)

If your talking about the low side sevice port to charge your ac, its easy to find. With your recharge kit, it comes with a nozzle to attach to this lowside port. Each port, (lowside and highside), are different diameters. The charging nozzle will ONLY fit onto the lowside port. Just run the length of your ac lines from the compressor and trace them back to the firewall. You should find both ports before you hit the firewall.

You need to follow the ac lines from the ac compressor to the ac condensor to the fire wall behind the engine where it goes to the heater box. There are two connections, both at differant locations,a low side that has a screw on red or blue cap with the letter L on it and a high side with a cap that has the letter H on it.The refridgerant goes into the low side.Hope this helps.
