I hear a chirping noise coming from somewhere under my truck when i go over bumps. where is the best place to start looking for that?

It is possible that the broken tab is your problem because the tabs keep the hardware from moving, especially when you apply the brakes. To determine if this is the case, remove the tire,brake caliper, brake pads, and hardware. Put one of the lug nuts(or two if needed) back on to hold the rotor in place. Spin the rotor by hand and listen for that chirping sound. If you don't hear it, the hardware is the problem. If you can still hear it, check that metal plate that protects the back side of the rotor to make sure its not bent and rubbing against rotor. Also check that nothing is rubbing on the trans-axle(if its front-wheel drive). If all is well in these two places, the only thing left that spins in that area is the wheel bearing. They usually make more of a grinding or roaring sound but sounds can be tricky.. I am a mechanic for a car rental company and often have to diagnose problems by the sound they make. The water pump can also make the chirping noise. You can place a very long screwdriver or metal rod against the pump & place your ear to the end of it to localize the sound. A stethoscope is very helpful, if possible.

It sounds like an issue with your steering or suspension. Because it gets louder and faster as you drive, it is almost certainly something that is either loose, or worn out. I have seen tires that have a bump or a blister on them to create a bumping noise, like you're driving over several speed bumps at once. I would take it to a trusted place and just have them do a front end inspection. Some places will even do this for free, hoping they'll find a problem and make their money back. I believe that Midas was doing free front end inspections. If not, lots of places will do it when you get your oil changed, etc. You may want to look under it yourself and just see if you can push or pull on anything and feel any slack or looseness.

Chipping can be caused from a bad bearing that needs to be replaced or lubricated. It could be inside the alternator. power steering pump, idler pulley, Whater pump, AC compressor, and so on.
Use a long handle such as a broom stick and place the stick to each item that is belt driven. Place it at a secure place such as the housing so the stick does not get near the belt. As the engine is running place your ear at the other end of the stick. This works as a Stethoscope same as a doctor uses. The chirpping will be hear the loudest at one of the belt drive accessories during your testing

well start by checking the sway bar links they are a common problem, they break or get worn and make noise, heres a picture of what they look like, and where they are located, hope this helps.

See if you can bounce car and replicate the noise. If you can, you should be able to find it, and put your hand on it. Stabilizer bushing are a place to look, both at the lower a arm and on the frame. If you narrow it down to the strut, it will need to be replaced. The front trans mount also goes bad, try putting it in drive with your foot on the brake and give it some gas and see if the engine moves an excessive amount.

A preliminary check can be made using the 'bounce' test. Pressing down and letting up on a fender several times in succession until the car is bobbing good. When you let go on a downstroke, the car should come up once, settle and move no more. If it kind of fades, with several shorter bounces, the shock is bad.
