Im assuming its 5speed, just remove the cables/line, no need to remove the clutch fork out to separate the tranny from the motor, clutch fork only work the throw-out bearing, it stay with the transmission; it little stubborn sometime for both to seperate from one another. just make sure the tranny is well balance and not hanging from the motor while trying separate the two. it will be very difficult trying to pull the tranny away from the motor if its not on the correct level and height and must not have no weight on the transmission shaft. You have to slide the tranny straight out and level from the flywheel, tranny shaft has to come out straight and same way when reinstall.

You seperate the bellhousing from the engine not the transmission from the bellhousing... Sorry...You need to go one housing further forward.

1992 ford 4 x 4 6 cly tranny stuck in 4th ,,,,,,,help

If it is standard, could be a bad clutch or clutch cylinder, sounds like a bad slave cylinder on the clutch. Check the clutch fluid level. Should be near the brake fluid and should be the same fluid as well.

Does an automatic transmission have a countershaft?

Depends on the gearbox design. Aisin(Toyota) troque converter automatic trannys are generally epicyclic (planetary), so are (GM and Ford) TC automatics. And I have heard Honda uses a countershaft design for its automatic trannys. Dual clutch automatic trannys have in general countershaft design as opposed to TC automatics.

How do I remove tranny and clutch seems stuck on the engine 2000 hundai elantra manuel I can get it off about a half inch and it stops

the clutch is a pull type, not a push type, to remove the trans you have to remove the release fork lever, to do that fist remove the clutch slave cylinder, then remove the 14mm nut tha holds the fork arm, then you can remove the trans, however reassembly is a whole nother complicated story.

2000 Accord Transmission Problem

Hello mew2149...Honda had a recall on your transmission for several failures, the one you describe being among them. If you have 194k with no problems then you are one of few. Honda extended warranty to help owners absorb the cost. A good transmission shop will be able to evaluate your problem better with pressure tests. The torque converter could be bypassing fluid, pump weak, clutch pack worn...etc. Good luck...i hope this helps.
