On the 2.7 engine it is located on the rear of the intake."opposite side of the induction hose"(left side of engine standing in front of the vehicle). On the 2.0 engine it is intergrated with mass air flow sensor.

My engine light came on, but nothing seems to be wrong

There is something causing the light to come on,have the codes read with a code reader, auto zone may do this for free.

Receiving engine code p0420 on my 2005 altima 2.5 s

A p0420 code indicates a Catalytic System efficiency failure, Bank 1.
Basically, the computer is seeing reduced efficiency of the catalytic converter or one of it's components (such as an 02 sensor)

There may be a few root causes, such as a faulty oxygen sensor, faulty coolant temperature sensor, faulty converter, Large exhaust leak, or retarded (slow) timing.

Hold light flashing and car wont start

I had a similar problem with the hold light ( i believe that problem is a separate problem from your cylinder misfiring). There is a sensor near or on the tranny that was bad. But, perhaps that sensor being messed up is causing the car to think it is in a different gear and causing the misfire?

Engine light came on day before yesterday..the car was running fine. Went to auto zone to have the 'light checked' with the machine and they said it was the e-vap sensor. Is that something I can buy and...

Kia is kind of touchy when it comes to this warning light, did you put gas in it while it was running? That will cause it to come on and also a bad gas cap can too.But you will have to have a scanner to clear the code.

ABS LIGHT STAYS ON SPORTAGE 2003

Hi

This could be a dirty or faulty wheel sensor, a faulty ABS pump, or a faulty ABS computer.

You could try cleaning the wheel sensors by spraying them with brake cleaner, and if this doesn't rectify the problem then a garage can read out the ABS fault codes and tell you what the problem is.

Sometimes just a reset is enough to clear it.
