Have it scanned for codes, which you can do at an Autozone, or Pep Boys for free & see if any codes come up & start from there. If more help needed, get back to us with results of code scan. Easier & cheaper for everybody that way.

If it starts and runs but won't start and run again for another 10-15 minutes, first do as motor1258 suggested. This will bring up not only codes for this issue but other issues that may be current but you are unaware of.

Usually when a vehicle does this, the PCV valve and or O2 sensors (oxygent sensors) need replaced. If this is the 1998 Plymouth Grand Voyager or Grand Voyager SE it will have two O2 sensors. The first is located on the exhuast manifold behing the engine - surprisingly easy to access. The 2nd, is located just (before/after) near the catalytic coverter (should sit right under the passenger front seat). You will need a special socket (or an open end wrench will work, just a bit more time consuming) to remove these.

The PCV valve should be located on the passenger side of the van in plain view near the rear fire wall. It should have two hoses coming off of it. Replace this as well.

Remember, when doing anytype of work on your vehicle, disconnect the battery to avoid any electrical shortages.

Please let me know if this information is helpful with this matter.

Thank you,

I have 84 ramcharger started fine used for about 1/2 hour plowwing driveway shut off would not restart until cooled off 2nd time it has done this?

Sounds as if the ignition control module is getting hot and not allowing it to restart. Had the same issue with a Dodge b-250 van, except for the plowing part. It would run for about an hour and start sputtering and shut off. After it cooled down, van would start and run great for the same length of time and do it again.

Have a 99 Town and Country mini van, everytime I start it, it runs for about 2 seconds and quits...please help, what could it be?

Cam or crank sensor maybe a great place to start. May even be both. Also alternator, and fuel pressure could pose problems

Sounds like an engine sensor problem (could be one of several) - start with an error code (DTC) check with a good code reader and follow up if there are any.

96 lumiman van that will run great then when I go to start won't

One of your sensors is out. By letting it sit your giving your CPU time to reset so it "forgets" there's a problem, but the minute the sensor shows a problem your engine fails.

Van won't start when weather is cold

Try using higher octane fuel or octane boost in the winter this is a common problem on the dodge V-8s,after about 60,000 miles. However yours sounds like fuel line freeze up V-8s experience moisture in the fuel lines. Higher octane should help you may also wish to change your fuel filter, and run a fuel line cleaner through your van Seafoam is a good one.
