Question about 2003 Chevrolet Malibu

1 Answer

I have a 2003 Chevy Malibu and am having trouble with my blinkers not working. Sometimes they work, and sometimes they do not. When it's not working.....if I don't use the signal turner for a while.....it will start working again. I've checked the fuse and it's a good fuse, and I've checked all bulbs and they are all good.

Replace the hazard switch -unit., its also the flasher. you will need to take out the cover of the instrument cluster to access the unit

I have a 2003 chevy malibu. I'm having problems with my blinker lights. They don't always work when I turn them on and at other times they work just fine. What could cause this?

Hello and welcome. this is almost always the hazard switch. inside the hazard switch is the turn and hazard flasher. the next time the turns dont work, try pushing in and out on the hazard switch and see if they come back on.

2001 Malibu - turn signal & horn problems

Google Service Bulletin No. 04098A. There is a recall for the hazard switch. My car's vin is not within the range, but I have the blinker problem. I was told by the Chev. 800 number that if a dealer determines that is the problem they will replace it. You can also buy the switch for about $20 and replace it yourself if you don't want to have to deal with a service dept.

Turn signals work sometimes on 2003 Chevrolet Malibu

There is a problem with the 2003 chevy malibu hazard relay switch that causes the blinkers to work intermittently. On mine, they would work again once I turned the hazards on and then off. I eventually had this repaired at the dealer.
