You have been given good advice but I would pass on any used vehicle more than 5 years old.

Hello, the advise posted so for is very good. Yes any car that has an ABS system, that requires repairs is expensive. But if you do your homework right, you might find that the Taurus/Sable of that same model year might share common components, since all these vehicles share a common platform. In particular, the engine/transmission, suspension, and probably the same break system. And very few Taurus/sables came with ABS, at least none of the ones I came across in salvage yards, when I was looking for parts for my 90 Continental. Just compare the repair manuals, you could retro fit the system. Just do your homework.

You can order any part of line. You can get a free debit card so you don't have to use a credit card. The abs pumps do go bad. Even for a mechanic myself, I'd rather have the dealer work with the abs and traction control systems.

Dont buy it. the ABS CAN be one REALLY expensive system to repair and this car in particular, has A LOT of parts to go through. if you DO buy this car, expect to spend ATLEAST another $1000 on repairing the ABS. oh and by the way, that thousand more than likely, WILL NOT include paying a mechanic for labor. it's really your choice, but i wouldnt do it, as im assuming its not " just a blown fuse".

The headlight courtesy module is not timing out. The ABS light will not affect normal braking. It is not cost effective to repair and as old as your car is, I would just remove the ABS bulb from the dash.

Part you're probably looking for is the ABS pump motor or pump motor relay.
Personally though you'd probably be better off checking the line routing for a non abs vehicle and copying it, eliminating the abs system. (scrapyard is a good place to look for "hard" parts and to actually see how lines run, but do use new lines).
The abs system functions just like "normal" brakes when the pump fails, so, it should be ok to drive it that way unless there is something else wrong (leaks etc)

I would like to ask you about a problem I dont get on my own. When the engine is running in 2 000 rpm the motor is changing in rpm constantly! (higher and lower, higher and lower) I have replaced the air...

I suppose its possible both mass air flow sensors were bad but to have failed the same way is not that likely, the part that came to mind on this one would be A throttle position sensor (TPS) located at throttle body (butterfly) and is reostat which tells computer the psition of butterfly opening. when these go out in a specific spot, they will cause speed or rpm fluctuations at bad spot.

I want to buy the mass air flow peace to my car so that it runs well because the engine light keeps coming on but i have no sticker or anything telling me what kind it is.

you'll want to figure out if its the maf thats throwing the light before investing buying the part, but if you know for sure, purchase it from www.rockauto.com to insure you get the right part.

i believe you have 2 seperate issues. the abs/brake lite issue i would suspect a front speed sensor, i have replaced many. does the vehicle have an odd stopping feeling just as you come to a stop? the second part could be an issue with fuel quality(who knows these days!) seems coincidental it happened right after filling, other than tune-up parts, other suspects are mass air flow sensors, coolant temp switches, even 02 sensors, is engine lite on? maybe have it scanned to be sure nothing is stored in computer. (autozone will scan for free)
