You will have to drop the gas tank, the fuel pump is sold as a complete pump and module and they are in the tank.

You have to drop the tank and remove the connections from the tank and fuel lines which are usually connected with o rings that can be screwed off the pump is inside the tank and i would try a junkyard or aftermarket pump for the best price

Why would my 94 Plymouth Acclaim 2.5, 4 cylinder die while I'm making a left turn?

sounds like it could be the sock filter on the bottom of the fuel pump has come off, its purpose is to keep fuel in the sock at the pickup tube so it won`t suck air. when the sock comes off fuel will pull away from the tube allowing this to happen. will happen more when the fuel level is between almost empty and 1/2 a tank.

I have a 1994 plymouth acclaim 4 cylinder 2.5 liter. I'm not getting power to the fuel pump its a new fuel pump. I also replaced the fuel pump relay. I have no idea what's wrong? Please help!

Check your fuses....and if they are ok then have someone check to see if there is power coming to the fuel pump with a multi-meter.

I have a 1991 Plymouth Acclaim - 4 cylinder. It will start and run for a while but if I make about 2 runs and come back out to start it, it just turns but will not catch. If I let it sit for about 4-5...

It sounds like your ignition coil is over heating. Was the coil replaced? Your mechanic should have checked voltage/resistance and replaced if needed since it is not too expensive and is a major part of tune-up and ignition system. You can change yourself in a few minutes and save some cash. I had the same problem and had to wait for coil to cool before it would start again. Hope this helps.

Why am i not getting any fire to the fuel pump

You didn't say if you have the 4 or 6 cylinder engine, but I think you should check your fuel pump relay.

With either of these engines, it's located under the hood on the drivers side, in front of the strut tower, mounted in a relay block on the fenderwell.

Hope this resolves your problem!

if you have 4 cylinder engine your water pump is under the plastic timing covers and you will have to remove the timing belt because it drives the pump.if its overheating could be you thermostat or is your pump leaking?

The fuel filter on a '93 Plymouth Acclaim is located on the underside of the car. It will be on the passenger side roughly between the back seat and fuel tank area. It is held on to the frame of the car with a single bolt and a clamp.

1995 Plymouth Acclaim Won't Start

It is most likely the fuel pump. pouring gas down the throttle body will not start it, it will just flood it. try spraying a carb cleaner in the throttle body in short 1 or 2 second bursts while some one else cranks it, it should start.
