Question about 2000 Saturn LW
Turn the key to the run position,pop the hood and in the fuse block right near the battery youll see a fuse labeled oil -r push it down and hold it 10 seconds and then release and check to see if the light in the dash is flashing, if it is turn the kehy off and your done, if not do it again,sometimes does not work the first time,

many auto parts stores will run their diagnostic tool for you free .. that will narrow down the problem ... sometimes its just a loose or damaged gas cap (it has to seal in many cars) .. a bad oxygen sensor is a frequent cause as well .. (especially for a 9 year old car).. but any sensor can be bad or indicate a problem .. like vacuum leaks or misfiring or even low brake or tran fluid .. having it tested is a good starting point .. auto repair shops often charge for this service but auto parts stores do not .. you can call and ask .. the auto parts store will also likely have an service manual but sometimes are not very complete (look thru it before buying) .. your local library may have service manuals ..
