I agree with tedpineywood however, sounds like you have a switch problem. I had the same problem on mine and I ended up replacing the switch.

1998 Dodge Durango, Headlights on, left turn sig on, but will not work. Turn headlights off, left turn signal works, but dash and radio lights fash to?

The headlight and turn signal are on two different switches and two different circuits. The main thing they both share is a ground connection.
I would check the ground and sockets for both the headlight and turn signal next.

Problem with turn signal when headlight is on

this sounds like a earthing problem , so check the wiring for the head lights, see if any wires are trapped between something, bare wire touching car body , anythingthat doesn't look correct, could also be the indicator lever itself with a problem , but check the headlight wiring first

Left turn signal pops fuse on infiniti

Check front and rear lights to see if the wiring is arcing to the turn signal on the left side of the car. This is the best guess as it's simply a wiring problem and nothing else, as there is too much current being forced through the turn signal when the headlights are on. Headlights draw much higher current than the intermittant turn signals and therefore pops the fuse.

Turn signal works when headlights are off and doesn't work when headlights are on.

Your turn signal ground most likely is hooked up to the ground wire from the headlights. In other words, when the headlights are off, the signal lights ground through the headlights. But when the headlights are on, with their much greater current, they ground through the signal lights and essentially make it so that the signal lights have no ground. Make sure your headlights and signal lights have their own proper grounds.

How to replace head light

The headlight replacement procedure.:---
  • Apply the parking brake and open the hood. The head is attached by thumb shaped screw. You will see the thumb screw on the upper inboard corner of the turn signal assembly Remove the screw with the screwdriver.Pull the turn signal assembly outward away from the fender and then disconnect the bulb.Turning the socket and wire 1/4- counterclockwise. Set the turn signal assembly aside.Disconnect the electrical connector plug from the headlight being replaced. Lift up on the blue retaining clip of the plug and pull it away from the socket of the headlight.Turn the black retaining collar of the headlight counterclockwise to remove it and the headlight from the headlight assembly.Install the new headlight by reversing the procedure.Replace the turn signal bulb into its assembly and reinstall the assembly and thumbscrew.

Turn signal doesn't work when headlights on

It sound like you have a grounding problem, does the headlight on the left seem dimmer than the right? Check the ground wires and the light sockets for corrosion.

Driver side signals only work when headlights are OFF

What may have happened is either the headlights wiring or the parking lights wiring somewhere along the wiring fused to the left turn signals wiring. Depending on if the turn signals go on when you put the parking lights on or the headlights on.

If the signals come on when you turn on the headlights than you only need to locate the light green wire that comes off the left turn signal harness.

Next follow that wire the entire way back to the firewall looking for another wire fused to that wire as you go.

If there are no signs of this you need to continue looking on the other side of the firewall all the way back to the turn signal and hazard flasher unit which is a black box that connects to a black harness located next to a grey harness behind the knee bolster.

But if the signals come on when you turn on the parking lights than you will also need to check the wiring from the rear left signal and follow that light green wire all the way back to the turn signal and hazard flasher unit.

This should fix your problem, but if not than your problem may lay within the the wiring between the turn signal/hazard switches and the turn signal and hazard flasher unit.

Also you may have a burnt circuit in the junction block. This block is where the light green from the rear left signal and front left signal meet. Don't have a description but if you cannot find it let me know and I will go out to the yard and look myself and let you know.
