You need to explain what you have done, so we can see if you know what you are doing and if you are correctly trying to do it. once you have the oil life on the screen you must hold the "reset" button in. maybe 10 seconds, maybe more until it reads either "oil life reset" or "oil life 100%" ................same for the others.

If 360 km per hour is equal to 40 miles per hour, please show me how to calculate using formular

360 km/hr is NOT 40 miles/hr.
1 mile is about 1.6 km
To go from km to miles, multiply by 0.62
To go from miles to km, multiply by 1.6

Kilometers per hour to Miles per hour

How do i reset the oil change light? 99 grand am se 6cyl

That light should reset itself after you changed the oil .If you have changed the oil and it doesn't reset ,try disconnecting the batter for about 5 mins. check your milage, see how many miles you normally drive before that light normally comes on. That is so, if that light dosen't come on ,you will know its time to change the oil. If that light doesn't come on at the right amount of miles, have your oil changed at the dealer and ask them to check the oil change warning light .If they find nothing wrong ,no charge . This warning light is fairly new ,in the old days people just guessed ,its about time to change the oil !

Water in fuel light just started to come on intermittently. Changed the fuel filters 3 weeks ago or 7500 miles back. Had never changed the filters on fuel or transmission since the first 80,000 miles....

The change in temperature from Las Vegas to Alaska could have resulted in condensation building up in your fuel tank. Also you could have gotten some diesel fuel contaminated with water. The transmission oil should be changed as per manufactures suggestion or at least every 50,00 miles especially if you are towing.

Speedometer no longer works

hi did the dealer pull this diagnosis out of hat ? or did you observe him carry out a series of diagnostic checks? i would first check the speed sensor electronis on g/box disconnect and clean/check for corrosion etc ? wd40 spray and dry plug you can test with voltmeter if circuit is ok then re plug and try again? other possibility could be actual sensor fault which you can change diy with a doner sensor which will then eliminate sensor fault? worth checking out before parting with $784+ ? make a thorough check of wires to sensor for any decay etc best of luck from uk ps make sure you pick speedo sensor not reverse light sender to verify put in reverse so light is on then disconnect if still on you have speed sensor?

Gas consumption

My Answer:

Poor gas mileage can be a result of many many things.

First of all you need to find out what is the factory normal gas mileage for your model year Jeep SUV. It should have said on your window sticker if you bought it brand new. If you are a 2nd or 3rd owner then a Jeep dealer would have info. Google search will tell you as well, and only takes a couple minutes to find.

I did a quick Google search and for a 2003 Jeep Grand Cherokee with a (4.7L V8 engine) the average mileage is roughly 14 mpg.

Not sure what engine you have as to options, etc?

How you drive will greatly change that number up or down depending on a number of driving and driver variables.

A few being -

Driving habits?

Tire pressures?

Engine tuned up?

Lube & oil/filter changes (every 5,000-7,500 miles? Air filter changes (every 10,000-15,000 miles)? Read your auto manual for exact recommended intervals.

How many people in the SUV on average?

Are you towing anything?

Type gas you are burning - BRAND? (See injectors below)

Area you are driving in (hills and valleys verses flat out,
etc)

Jeeps in general don't have a good track record for great mileage, and rough engine idling is always a clue that your fuel injectors are dirty. Typical on all Jeeps with port fuel injection systems! On Jeeps with dirty fuel injectors your mileage will go way down accordingly. If your not putting at least a 12 oz bottle of say Walmart brand Super Tech Fuel Injector Cleaner (~ $1 each) in your gas tank religiously every logged 1000 miles, or every 2 tank fill ups, then you are just inviting dirty fuel injectors and POOR fuel economy!

My 1993 Ford XPLR with a 4L V-6 engine (and ~ 160,000 flawless driven miles) gets roughly 22 miles per gallon on the highway with cruise control on, and about 17 around town on average. I religiously put a 12 oz bottle of the above injector cleaner in my gas tank every 1000 miles!! Of course I do all my own tune-ups, general repairs, and suspension maintenance (shocks, O2 sensors, trans oil changes, lube & oil/filter changes, code reading and clearing, etc) myself and it shows! I don't trust repair shops except for say Tires and Balancing at SEARS.

Hope that helps ease your mind about gas mileage as it relates to your Jeep there.

Frank
