True, anything goes wrong with the emission system and the sensor will tell the on board computer that something is wrong and turn on the check engine light

It is possible, there are sensors that monitor the flow, and report accordingly to the PCM. if the emission pump is going bad, yes that will make the engine light come on, but it doesnt take long for those things to just go out at all. as far as it making the hoses go bad.....unless you have a ridiculous amount of pressure coming out (which you cant) then there is no way the hose could go bad, because the only things it could do would be to either get so hot, it melts, or the hose just blows out.

pump going bad? maybe....hose going bad because of the pump? no. use a diagnostic tester on the jeep and look at the trouble codes. because if you want to know whats wrong with the vehicle, ask it.

No spark on 1994 jeep grand cherokee /wont start

If the check engine light does NOT light up on the dash when you turn on the ignition, then your ECU is in need of repair. The engine will only start after the check engine light comes on and the ecu is what controls that. It's likely going bad, causing the delayed start problem typical of early 90's jeeps. Repair or replacement services for your jeep ECU are available on ebay.

Check engine light is on my 2004 jeep grand cherokee laredo and is due to go in for emissions testing. It started after getting gas, then it would go off. Now it stays on constantly.

First check to make sure gas cap is on tight. (yes I know, sounds stupid but it's a possibility) If that doesn't cure light, stop into any good parts store like autozone, Advance, etc and have them do a FREE fault scan, they run the scan give you a print out and reset your lights. If light comes back on you HAVE an issue.

2004 Grand Jeep Cheorkee: Check Engine Light code conflict

You need to inspect those parts. The two codes, in a way are related. But they happened in different seasons. These newer cars are picky about what is going on and the signals it receives. A scan-tool is needed to see or collect active data from that O2 sensor and see if it is bad.
If the thermostat is bad then replace it but I can't tell you if you need an O2 sensor. You can tell the service rep. about what you found, it cant hurt.

Check the vacuum hoses it is easy to notice if one is missing or not. If that doesn't work, I'd try the cruise control switch. Hope this helps

On dash board engine management light is on for

the light sounds like the check engine light, and this as something to do with the emissions system, and bad gas could very well cause it to come on try undoing the positive cable to the battery for a few minutes it should go off but it still may come back on after you drive it a while

The engine light came on and wont go off.

the check engine light is on to alert you that a fault has occured in the electronic engine or emission system controls, the system will need to be tested by a shop to see what code was stored when the computer turned the light on, there are over 200 different faults that cause the light to be turned on.

1993 Grand Jeep Cherokee has fluctuating High emissions

everthing effects the reading. pedal position, rpm load engine temp. air temp. all that stuff you added was just a waste of time and money. What you should of done wa diagnosed it correctly so your not cheating an emission test. Since barley failed the first time I would of recommended a tunup if not done in 40,000 miles. I would have looked at the scanner data to see if the inputs were correct. Iwould have serviced the oil if its been awhile. If everything checked out i would of recommended a catalytic converter. But there are 3 test to determine if the cat is dead we do first. If your car was barley failing and you needed a tunup and the cat was still good the need for a tuneup could toast the cat within a couple weeks.
