Is the feul pump insert hole the same in a 1985 mustang gt as a 1993 jeep wrangler

Just use the pump that is already in the jeep. Just make sure you use a fuel pressure regulator set to 42-48 PSI

My 67 mustang has a 4 barrel demon carb, its nearly impossible to start, won't stay running without pushing accelerator to about 2000 rpm, and there's gas pooling on top of the carb. I thought 1 problem...

Are you using the stock mechanical fuel pump or an electrical one?

If it's an electrical then you may install one with too much psi and gpm/gph flow rate.

====
The other potential case is stuck fuel float or miss adjusted angle on the flow arm.

My Mustang 1990 2.3 will not start for long. The fuel pressure only goes up to about 25 psi and drops to zero as soon as the pump shuts off. The regulator has been replaced and I do hear the pump come on...

It was not the high pressure check valve in the pump, it was a small hole in the hose between the pump and tank fuel outlet tube. I replaced the hose and every thing is fine now...Thanks anyway..

Car ran fine one day, not it will crank but not

Your fuel system requires 35-45 PSI. If you don't have this pressure in the line then your fuel filter or fuel pump is at fault.

1988 mustang 5.0 efi flooding engine will not start fuel pump constantly running, fuel reg. replaced will actually fill and with fuel and only fire if pedal is to the floor?

Step one
Click the key forward BUT don't start the car listen for fuel pump to pressurize and shut off. But if the pump keeps running change the fuel pump relay switch under drivers seat. If its pressurizing and shuts off then its not your fuel pump. Fuel pressure at rail when idling is 30 psi.
Let me know what happens cause I know alot about Stangs had 2 5.0

Suzuki samurai fuel issue

try and pull the carb and check your jets and make sure that they are cleen and air filter be perty cleen if that does not work and you thing it is a fuel problem then check your fuel line and fuel filter and see how cleen they are it may be as simple as dirt clogging your fuel or something worse but try that

Fuel pump keeps failing

check the fuel pressure first with a gague the pressure should be at 40-47 psi
does any other things stop working when the pump stops?
it sounds like you have a short to ground in the fuel pump circut, check the circut for any chaffed wires.... there is a fuse in the fuse box there is not supposed to be one on thr frame rail
another possibillity is a clogged fuel filter making the pump work harder and overheating
check pressure wires and replace the filter one of these is your problem
let me know dant forget to rate me
