First these are easy to do,second look on ebay a-1 auto I think sells replacement for around $100 U.S
Take door panel off, there are several bolts in reg and 2 keepers on the window glass unhook the 2 keepers unplug the motor and turn unit and bring out the bottom of the doorthe window glass does NOT have to come out. it should only take less than an hour to do.

I have a 2001 jeep Lerado. My passenger power window wont go up, but I can hear the motor running when I try it. Anything I can do?

It's time to replace the Window Motor & Regulator Assembly. If you have the cash and time do both passenger and driver-side (one is just serving notice that other is going to go soon as well). "Replacement" is a good brand to get. The procedure isn't all that challenging, there should be some good pictorials at various jeep websites to guide you through it.

Driver side window will not go up. it will go down, but not up

It could be a couple of things. If the motor has a hard time lowering the window, then it could be the motor. If not, then I'd buy a replacement switch box. You can replace that fairly easily. If that doesn't work, it could be the motor, or the window regulator could be jammed. If the motor hums and tries to move when you press the up button, it could be the regulator( all that other junk in the door that controls the window). In that case, do NOT replace the switch, because the humming you hear means the motor is getting power, and the switch is fine. You could replace the switch or the motor, but I would suggest letting a professional fix the regulator.
