Another expert gave you some advice that does not work on your car.

My question to you: Did you just purchase fuel? If so, is the gas cap on the filler tube tight? If the cap is loose, the light will come on.

Your best bet, if the cap is found to be tight, is to go to an AutoZone; they will scan the car for you for free. Then, get back to us with the code(s) found, and we will get you sorted out.

Sounds like you may have busted your Serpentine belt. The serpentine belt runs your water pump, alt, and ac. You can pick up an serpentine belt for about $35 at almost any auto parts store

Drove it home everything was ok! went out the next

sounds like a broken timing belt, timing belts like to break during engine cranking and engine shut down. there are inspection holes in the timing cover,if you can't determine, remove top half of timing cover and check belt for slap,if there's slap,it's broke.

1999 Toyota Camry check engine and trac lights on

I would ignore the problem until something else happens and the car is not running right. A lot of the time it could be a bad sensor or computer. I would say the same thing to my customers as your mechanic.
